Taco John's — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

I placed a $34 order online to pick up in the drive-thru. Get up to the drive-thru window and the lady tells me, she doesnt have my order and that I needed to click an "I'm here" button. I showed her the app on my phone and said there is no button or option for that. She said "well, I can't help you then. I have a door dash order behind you that is more important so please get out of the drive-thru!" I said well, you can see that my order is here and paid for, could you please just look at it on my phone and make it? She again said "No, I have a door dash order that is inportant, please leave my drive-thru! " I asked if she could ring my order up, I would pay for it again, and just cancel the order on the app. She replied that she couldn't because I had exclusive online items and again reminded me not so nicely of the door dash order behind me in line. I drove around to the parking lot and sat while my kids begged for food. I re-ordered thru the app and cxld the first order. Went back thru the drive-thru and a different lady was working in the window now. She got my order and we left. Got home to notice I was missing 4 items that I ordered... A churro, side of sour cream, 2 sodas and the grilled burrito was supposed to be beef but contained chicken. I filled out their stupid survey, which online says to enter 20 digit code, yet my recipt contained a 31 digit code. Entered the first 20 numbers and asked for a call as I would really like a refund for at least the missing items. Been over a week and no call. Will not return ever again. Most horrible experience and I feel that they are really setting themselves up...

tldr - Great service. Great food. Eat here!

One time, there was no Taco Johns in Racine or Kenosha and Taco Bell was my only fast food option along these lines. Then the Kenosha location opened and I was excited. The food there was great. The service? Well, you can read other people's reviews, but the service at the Kenosha location was, and seemingly still is, garbage.

However, this new location in Mt. Pleasant is like night and day! A breath of fresh air! I've been there three times, quietly testing them each time in areas where Kenosha repetitively failed. First, going through the drive though and ordering food with some customization. Order was perfect! Second time, ordered on the mobile app, and included more food items with multiple customization. Again...order was perfect!

Was just there today for the third time! Ordered on the app, lots of customization, and ate in the restaurant. Order was correct!

On top of that, all three times, staff were friendly, polite, and professional. Nothing like Kenosha where staff don't care and aren't shy about it. It's great to finally have a Taco Johns with courteous, well trained people that's local to me. Will definitely be a...

I had been to a Taco John's when I was out West but never near home. I really wanted to see how it was since the one time I had been to a Taco John's previously was not a good experience. I stopped in and had to look over the menu for a bit. The gentlemen that were working told me to take my time and when I told them that I wanted to try a few things, they had great suggestions. I was not disappointed with any of my food. It came out quickly and everything tasted good. I was in my car so it was difficult to take pictures of my food but the good thing is that it all ACTUALLY looked like the menu pictures! I always love it when that happens!
