Verde — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

Possibly the best salad I've ever eaten. Great spot after a beach day when you don't want something heavy but still want to feel full. The salads are BIG, toppings are perfectly proportioned, and they mix everything together which feels like an added bonus. I ordered a seasonal salad - This is how we (spring) roll - and my friend did a create-your-own style. We both wish we had this restaurant closer to our homes (I will be bringing all my guests here when I take them out toward the beach or into Charleston). Also, their strawberry limeade is fresh and tastes like you're drinking a strawberry. So delicious.

Clean place. Not crowded. Lots of parking. Tables are really close together, but it's just a small space and there weren't a lot of people, so it wasn't a problem for us.

A great find, all they do are salads which can be ordered in a bowl or in a wrap. The staff members were very welcoming, attentive, friendly, and helpful explaining the different salads and also offering us several options for customizing the pre-designed salads or if we didn’t see a salad we liked, we could “design-our-own” salad. My wife ordered the Seasonal “Strawberry Fields w/roasted chicken” in a bowl and I ordered the “Mesa Verde” in a wrap. Both of our selections were made to order, filled with fresh ingredients, delicious, and to boot, the portion sizes were large. There were plenty of inside and outside seating available but because we were only a few minutes away from our hotel we elected to bring our food back to our hotel room to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and service so we would return the next time we have a craving for a salad...

I have only had verde one other time (last week, same location on Coleman) and last time I ordered in person and it was great! Unfortunately tonight I put in an online order and three of the ingredients I ordered where incorrect. I received brown rice and quinoa instead of quinoa tabbouli and I wasn’t wanting all that rice. I asked for roasted chickpeas which are crunchy and crouton-like but received regular boiled chickpeas. I am fairly sure I had to pay extra for these and did not receive them. Lastly and most sadly, I certainly did pay for and was absolutely looking forward to the avocado I order but it was accidentally left out. Not one little chunk or smear anywhere.
