Fiesta Mexicana — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

Food was decent, buffet prices were high for children, the facility was clean, however I do business with honest people. We came in between 330 and 340p and sat down for the buffet on a Monday. When we were cashed out they charged us for the dinner buffet which didn’t start till after 4p. We were done eating and waiting on our bill by 407p . The price on the bill was almost 10 dollars different and there was no difference in food selection between the lunch buffet and dinner buffet. I brought my bill to there attention, the man I spoke to said she put your order in later than when you came in. I then spoke to the lady who put our order in for the buffet. I could tell she was annoyed that I brought my concern to her attention and that she didn’t really want to fix my bill. After explaining the pricing and timing of our meal she eventually agreed to fix the bill. We had never been here before and thought we would grab some food after visiting a loved one at the hospital. But my experience just didn’t sit well with me. Our server was really great, the food not so much. The salsa had a weird cabbage like taste to it. I ordered the chicken nachos, the chicken did not have a good flavor, the only cheese on them was chili con queso, there were no beans or anything, just giant shreds of chicken, queso dip, tons of shredded lettuce and tomatoes and some sour cream, which sounds like it would be good, but the flavor meld with the chicken and the queso just wasnt good. My son enjoyed his pork burrito, and his rice, one daughter got a burger and fries off the kids menu and said she thought it was dry, but it's a mexican restaurant and not a burger joint. My youngest daughter got some flour tortillas, they were not fresh and tasted like they were prepackaged or something. I let the girls split a fried icec ream type dessert, while it was a huge serving, the fried aspect of it had a very off texture, somewhere between soggy cornflakes and plastic. This place is absolutely amazing in all ways possible! The service we received was fantastic! Carlos was very nice and attentive, and so were the other workers! We never had to wait for refills on water, salsa, or chips! Once we were done with a plate it was picked up promptly! Everything tasted delicious! Nice variety at the buffet and once an item ran out, it was restocked. Which is nice to see because wayyy too often I’ve watched employees at buffet style restaurants restock an item and dump the old food on top of the new. The food was always fresh. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, love all of the decorations. The prices are awesome and are such a good deal. We will definitely come back here again if we ever visit this town again! We highly recommend this place!
