The China Buffet is one of the greatest buffets I have ever been to, especially in other States. I loved the Decor, this place has the glass artwork, the artwork on the walls, and the Decorations. I also like how it easy to get around the place from Tabled or booth to were the buffet is and how they have sign with words to tell What serving and what boo I also love how it's so organized none of them touching and Like it how at the end there are plates bowls for anyone to put on food while looking down the 'Buffet and see what's available. The service is very good. I like it how for anyone. After showing you to a table first, they ordered your drinks, and then you can go and get your food. Plus, I also like it and how they will take your plates away and then also refill the drinks, and they are also very nice people. But the best part is the food. They have some Chinese food like dumplings, noodles, and chicken tenders. They also have salad, Macaroni and cheese, shrimp, potatoes, and soup, but the best part is in the dessert, they have cookie Fudge and, of course, ice cream. I love how they have many flavors of ice cream, even though you have to go and scoop it up by yourself, but you can get as much as anyone wants. They also bowl the ice cream to help. I like how they also take out, but you have to pick up because they do not do delivery, and you'll have to order online or by phone. It's still pretty good food, but there are just some food in there that just gives me a bad taste in my mouth, but the rest of it is still good. It is also a good place to be if you are in the area, and I have been many...
Read moreUsually, my go to dine-in buffet, out in Mount Vernon, but recently I had an experience that may keep me from returning again. I arrived early one morning, as the buffet was opening to dine on some fine Chinese cuisine. I got my plate together and sat down to eat, but I shortly noticed after a few bites that all but one protein on my plate was warm. I had five different types of chicken on my plate and only one was even slightly warm. I figured since I had came in so early maybe the warmers needed some time to get the food to temp or something, so I decided to play on my phone, and wait a little while in hopes of warm food. Shortly after I began waiting, an associate approached me to take my plate and asked if I wanted to keep my fork. I ensured her, yes, she could take my plate, and yes I still need my utensils. But before I let her get away, I stopped her to inform her that the reason I didn't finish the plate was because my food was cold. The lady then walked over to who I assume was a cook/owner and informed him of my situation. He then proceeded to come to my table and ask me about my food, denying any allegations of cold food, citing that all the food was "just made." After he walked away furiously, I could hear him cursing me in what I presume was Chinese dialect from across the restaurant. It wasn't until this moment I took it upon myself to leave the facuilty without paying. I was willing to wait for warm food, seeing as this is one of my my favorite restaurants, but I refuse to be...
Read moreI go to this restaurant quite often. The food is pretty good, and the manager is really nice but the rest of the servers are really rude. They hardly say anything, and I always feel rushed. My friend and I sat down to have dinner, and we weren't even half way through our first plate when our waitress slid the bill on the table and walked away. We pushed the bill aside and finished our food. We went up for a second plate of food, and when that plate was cleared, the server took our silverware. We sat and talked for a bit, and then a little while later, maybe 10 or 15 minutes, we realized that they had completely stopped serving us. Our glasses were empty and we noticed one of the girls kept shooting us dirty looks. I love the food, but hate the service. For 10.30, you'd think I could get my money's worth and be served with a decent attitude.
There was also a separate instance when I saw one of the ladies standing at the front counter picking her nose. When she noticed my grandfather and I staring with disgust she turned around and kept doing it. She then went on to stack cups and wrap silverware. When I let the manager know, he seemed outraged and quickly confronted her... But...
