Sissy's Tacos — Restaurant in Mount Washington

I gave this trailer a couple of tries before reviewing to be fair. Once when they first opened and again recently. It seems to me that they either don’t marinade their chicken or they only use a dry rub right before they cook it because the chicken was both bland and dry. They should consider using a wet marinade overnight on the chicken before cooking it. It will make it flavorful and juicy especially if you’re using chicken breast instead of thighs. Thighs are more flavorful and the most commonly used for Mexican style dishes. Also the chips used for the nachos were disgusting. Making your own chips is not only easy but much more cost effective than purchasing in bulk at Sams. Just cut corn tortillas down the middle into fours and fry them then add some kosher salt and lime juice and you’ll have the best chips around. UPDATE: not only did I have an experience that literally made me sick... this place responds a whole YEAR later stating why my experience could not be true. Even though there are many, many negative reviews about the food. Going from 2 stars to 1!

Ordered the Elote in a cup... (choke, choke) $5!! The corn tasted like it came from a can and was microwaved multiple times. I am not sure what all the yellow chunks were but there was a strong old mayonnaise taste. The little piece of green was tasteless as well. I worked late, was hungry and didn't want to come home and cook so I thought I'd stop and grab tacos, that would be quick and easy, right? WRONG!! I'll start by saying the food was AMAZING!!! But I really wasn't expecting it to take almost an hour to order and get my food. I almost left when I stood and stood there waiting to order and then they took 2 call-in orders (which I do understand) and then waited on 2 cards in the drive thru (which arrived well after me).
