What can be said about McDonald's that you haven't heard before? It's the most popular fast food restaurant on the planet. At one point we had five in our small town, they're everywhere. One thing I can give them is consistency. You know what to expect if you've been to one you've been to them all. I do enjoy their breakfast menu. The breakfast burritos is pretty small. In fact it's probably the smallest breakfast burrito I've ever seen. But they taste fine, so if you don't mind spending a couple extra bucks buy two or three to fill you up. The breakfast sandwiches are pretty good. Back when things were a little cheaper you could get a large coffee and sausage muffin for just over two bucks. I recently saw a double sausage egg cheese muffin on the menu but it seems to have disappeared in the last few days, or at least it's not on the app for the magic valley locations. The McCafe options are pretty good. I drink my coffee black but once in a while their frappes and other coffee drinks are fine if you don't feel like going to a real coffee shop. All in all, McDonald's is great for kids and lazy or in a hurry adults. Ohh, and why does the ice cream machine never work? Google it. Also, shamrock shakes are pretty good! I don't know what the McRib is made of if, but I don't think it's real fun meat. I almost forgot, the micros lmcgriddles are pretty good. Little Maple pancakes for buns is a good idea. I think...
Read moreAttitude of manager was poor, immature and flat rude. We were also served old food that had been sitting for quite a while. Mistakes happen, the gal taking our order accidentally entered fried chicken instead of a grilled for our sandwich. When I asked for it to be fixed the manager was very obviously unhappy and asked if I just wanted the grilled chicken or did I actually need the whole sandwich re-made. I asked for it to be made correctly. Her body language, including an eye roll as she turns around to get the correct sandwich was completely inappropriate. This was then followed by an exaggerated arm out over the garbage while she tossed the incorrect sandwich. I left assuming the sandwich was correct since our order was to go. Once we were on the road we discovered the chicken was very old and not tolerable to eat. What surprised me most was this behavior was the manager, not an entry level employee learning customer service. Thankfully it’s not where we live however we will not go to this place again in...
Read moreTruck drivers, toy haulers, etc. PLEASE NOTE: This McDonald's has horrible access just getting off the freeway, as the cross street is extremely busy from the truck stop on the east side and there are no traffic lights for the off ramps. Westbound you wll have to cross traffic, eastbound you will have to wait for an opening.
Worse still there is absolutely no truck/trailer parking and no place to turn around. Turning into the tiny parking lot would be a disaster. The adjacent auto mall has blocked off access to their parking lot so you can't turn around there either. I pulled in with a dually/camper and long bumper pull horse trailer and had a terrible time getting turned around without jack knifing. A semi would have to back out, it would create gridlock.
There is no parking in the Wendy's across the street or the visitors' center either. I recommend giving this McDonald's a complete miss unless you are in a...
