As a former Wendy’s manager with a postgraduate academic background, I understand the standards and pride required to maintain a well-run fast food establishment. Unfortunately, my recent visit to this particular Wendy’s revealed substantial operational shortcomings indicative of ineffective leadership at both the store and area management levels.
The order consisted of two “5 for $5” deals, a Dave’s Single, an Asiago Chicken Sandwich, and a 6-piece nugget. Rather than packaging each combo separately for ease and order clarity, all items were consolidated into a single bag. This decision resulted in product degradation, as by the time the food reached us, it was already cooling noticeably.
Compounding this, our order was initially handed to an adjacent vehicle—whose occupants received our food. The staff, upon realizing the error, requested whether we would be comfortable trading bags. While we knew the other party personally and agreed, this mishap raises serious hygiene and customer service concerns. In any other circumstance, accepting mishandled food would have been entirely unacceptable.
Such errors are not symptomatic of high-volume rushes or staffing shortages alone—they point directly to a lack of procedural accountability and leadership engagement. If I were the franchise owner, I would be alarmed by the negative impact this level of mismanagement has on customer retention and brand integrity. Patrons are increasingly choosing competing chains—not because the food is superior, but because those establishments consistently deliver reliable service.
This location must urgently reassess its managerial oversight and staff training practices. Operational excellence is not optional—it is the baseline requirement for a business expecting...
Read moreIt may just have been bad timing, so you should make your own decisions. But when pulling up to an empty drive through causes a bunch of employees out back smoking/vaping behind the restaurant to go rushing in...it does not help set the stage well. The drive through order display screen was on buy I couldn't see anything because it was covered up with paper signs saying that they couldn't give any money back so we need to pay in exact change or use a card. When ordering, the worker would not acknowledge any items---not even an "ok" to confirm hearing me, so I didn't know if the microphone was acting up, or if anything was even happening. I couldn't tell because there was no visual cue of items getting added to my order. Then there was my fries...I am not sure how, but most of my fries were great, but a couple of fries in the bottom were ICE COLD AND SOGGY! My only guess is that it was an ice cube? I know I specifically asked for no ice with my drink, so I guess that it was ok with fries. Overall, it was a disappointing experience compared to the other times I've come here...
Read moreJust popping through for a quick bite while traveling far! Went through the drive thru and ordered those ghost pepper saucy nuggets with a frosty, girl taking order wasn’t the friendliest but it was whatever. Was pretty fast, but when we got out stuff we checked the bag and it wasn’t what we got at all, we waited a sec to see if they would open the window and girl taking the order just stood there and was looking at us like we were stupid. She open the window and some other woman with glasses which I’m guessing was the manager, we let them know that what we got wasn’t what we ordered. Which the lady with glasses proceed to tell us was “well wasn’t what was on there” like no shit, cause that’s not what we ordered. Then it kinda went back and forth and she kept saying that and implying it was our fault. Food they gave us wasn’t bad it was still good but when someone tells you that’s not that they ordered just say come inside or something no need to be rude. Also only just one car behind us, wasn’t like we were holding...
