BG's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Mountain Iron

Table service was fabulous, our waitress was very friendly and she greeted us and told us about the daily specials. She recommended items that she enjoys herself. I went with the boneless garlic parmesan wings and they were phenomenal! I was there on a Thursday evening about 5:30 pm, there was seating available, but not many left. They are busy and they are able to keep the traffic flowing. The food came out in a decent amount of time. The atmosphere was family friendly considering it is a full service bar and restaurant. I’ve been to this place several times and the food is consistently pretty good, there are a few things on the menu to avoid but most of it is fine. It’s a place with a patio which is hard to come by on the range, so you take what you can get. However, the service has been terrible for the last 3-4 months. Servers ignoring our table after dropping off our food, forgetting to bring things, bringing cold food, taking 30 minutes to bring a bill to the table… these annoyances add up when it happens every time, and we probably won’t be back to BGs...

So, the burger was good. But they have this EXTREMELY back door way of charging you extra. We both ordered "baskets" and I said "I'll have the philly burger basket w/fries" my dad did the same and said "onion rings". Huge mistake, the basket comes with fries apparently but the menu is worded so poorly you wouldn't have known that. So, since I said "French fries" they charged for the appetizer (6.50) not a side (4.50). Made no sense and it has to be a trap MANY people fall into. Our waitress even said, "yeah this happens...
