As a food critic and industry expert with over 30 years of experience, I've had the pleasure of tasting some of the most delectable dishes from around the world. I've had my fair share of eggplants, from grilled to roasted to fried, but none have ever quite compared to the eggplant dish I had at Pizza Como.
Located in a quaint little town, this family-owned restaurant might be known for its pizza, but their eggplant dish is an absolute standout. Coach Phil, the owner, has clearly poured his heart and soul into every dish on the menu, and it shows in every bite of his eggplant.
The dish consists of perfectly cooked eggplant slices that are tender and melt-in-your-mouth, yet retain a satisfying chewiness. The eggplant is layered with a rich and savory tomato sauce that is seasoned to perfection. The cheese that is used to top the dish is also carefully selected and perfectly balanced with the eggplant and sauce.
What sets this eggplant dish apart from the others is the perfect balance of flavors and textures. Each bite is a symphony of flavors that dances across your palate. It's not too salty, not too sweet, and not too heavy. It's simply perfection on a plate.
As someone who has tried eggplant dishes from all corners of the world, I can confidently say that Pizza Como's eggplant dish is the best I've ever had. It's clear that Coach Phil takes great pride in his food and uses only the finest ingredients to create his dishes.
In conclusion, if you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Pizza Como and trying their eggplant dish. It's a true masterpiece that will leave you craving for more. It's no wonder that Pizza Como is quickly becoming a foodie destination for those...
Read moreHadn't been to Pizza Como for decades. Used to go there with our mother as kids. My dad recently discovered the place and wanted to go there, so a group of 5 of us went Monday mid-afternoon. I was surprised to see lots of people there dining, including two guys at the bar having a couple beers! The take-out traffic never stopped the whole time we were there. We got a large pepperoni pizza and 3 large Italian sandwiches and just split it up among us. The pizza was fantastic and the sandwiches were so good. I love that the bread on the sandwiches was warmed up and it was such good bread. So many places have rolls that are just too much bread, it overpowers the whole sandwich; these were just perfect and so light and flaky. The only thing that I thought really I would have changed is that they did not really have a waitress. When you come in you have to order your food at the counter and then go sit down and you get your own soda refills. However I guess I understand the rationale. If they don't pay a waitress they can keep the prices down, and the prices here are VERY reasonable. Really, really good...
Read moreSolid pizza with a crisp crust and very good cheese ratio. Sauce was tasty and the pepperonis were small discs of delicious. The service was exceptional with friendly atmosphere and everyone did a great job of making you want to return. I've seen Pizza Como while driving to many places but this was the first time I stopped in and was very glad I did. We also ordered the side of meatballs and mozzarella sticks. The meatballs were tasty and the sauce, again, complimented and not overly sweet or overly spiced. The mozzarella sticks were not the hollow variety that just holds a little cheese on the sides, but solid and tasted great. The food was great, definitely kid friendly and everything was clean. Great and friendly staff, I can not recommend enough to stop in...
