Where to start...upon entering at 1205 with no one in line and 4 tables with occupants. One 3 top, 3 single tops. My partner was holding me up, literally, as I was having a diabetic low of 66. At 1220ish When he quickly sat me at the second table the server (older female blonde) got upset and said "geez, I guess here's good, I AM the only one working and I haven't ate and probably wont til 5 or 6!" Meanwhile she could care less I'm having a medical emergency. Luckily we had access to sugar to raise my blood sugar. Nor did she care we just got off 12 hour overnight shifts and have both been up nearly 20 hours. Me with angry, covid, dying, and frail patients and he with combative, passive aggressive, Resistant inmates. But I could see how that compares (eye roll). We finally ordered at 1:18pm. At this point I needed food and couldn't leave. We asked for a cinnamon roll...she said she'd check. Well. Our food came...which was fantastic and holy cow a lot of it. Delicious! But.....not once...EVER did she bring our cinnamon roll or check on us. Not even to top off the water. Smh. So, then we waited another 20inuutes for the check. I asked about the cinnamon roll as I was thinking it'd be great to-go....this lady...seriously?! She says..."oh, well YOU should have reminded me!" Then she slams down the check. Ya know..my parents owned a restaurant and instilled into me the kindness to be to your server....and I was but dang if I didn't want to be. Sad to say we will NEVER go back to that location. Save yourself the trouble of a rude person who probably needs a hug and apparently a better job she can handle. Bless her...
Read moreThis was not a good situation today. I have been to this location before and it used to be excellent, but just like many restaurants lately who are dealing with low staff and other economic factors, the quality has gone WAY down and the prices have gone WAY up. Came for breakfast today with a friend. I ordered the North Beach breakfast. It's supposed to be a frittata with mushrooms, cheese, sundried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Sounded delightful to me, I even asked our server if she recommended it, she's a vegetarian, said it was great, OK then. I get the plate and didn't see any sundried tomatoes at all or artichoke hearts. So, I picked through it a bit, there were none. I did see one tiny piece of chopped fresh tomato, but the only other ingredients I saw were mushrooms, onions and cheese. For nearly $18, I would not have ordered this with only those ingredients. So I said something, the server talks to the cook and comes back and tells me the cook said that there is sundried tomato in it. I took my fork and tore the thing apart and asked if she saw anything. My friend is there too, I mean it just wasn't there. She took it away and they made it again. This time there were artichoke hearts and tomatoes, but they were fresh tomatoes. There is a big difference between fresh and sundried tomatoes. I just ate it the way it was at that point. If they were out of an ingredient, I would have respected it if they had just told me and I could have made a decision on what to have from there. Not cool. The bacon was...
Read moreWe just moved to Mukilteo and we’re very pleased to find that there is a great breakfast place with great food and service (they serve lunch too). We visited early on a Sunday.
We were greeted quickly and in a friendly fashion—water and coffee came quickly. The breakfast (and lunch) selections and specials were many and varied.
I’d read the reviews and can say this place was great for us — in general, as we travel around, we notice things as we visit restaurants all around—I believe our database is well populated and informed. I rarely leave reviews and usually for the best.
I can report that, in our experience, Patty’s is great and we’ll be back. Real maple syrup (with an upgrade charge, which is fine with me) was a rare treat. Why have great pancakes without great syrup? Nice!
I believe the owners grandfather (?) was a veteran in WW2 (I like a family owned restaurant), and the entire team working this Sunday were super—caring how they did their job and they interacted pleasantly with the customers.
Our choices: eggs (over medium and scrambled), bacon (nice size, thickness and done just right) and great pancakes (fluffy but with good texture — neither foamy nor rough—they were just right). We’ll try the various types of...
