When visiting Muncie it is our tradition of dining at Greeks in the village. Sadly, last night, that location was without power. It was suggested by our friend who resides in Muncie, we try the Greeks by the mall. Well, we did. Wait staff was rude, uncooperative, lacking in hosting skills and needs to learn to clear a table, how to take a simple and complete order. Berating the customer for their choices is not the way to earn more business nor achieve the gratuity you're so obviously thinking you deserve. We won't return here, not even for free food. We thought maybe we were being to hard on our waitress, until... Another customer entered at 10 til closing and was told he couldn't dine there because they close in 10 minutes. His order would have to be placed "to go" in the back. He quickly returned from the rear and was approached by our waitress and he was heard saying, "No, nevermind, everytime I've been here you've been rude and mean to me and my guests." I was assured by my wife that the owner of Greeks that she worked for in the 80's would've not tolerated this behavior from his employees. Good job to our waitress and to the manager who locked the door behind us as we left, we are 4 customers that will not darken your doorsteps ever again. In the future we'll dine only at the village Greeks location they've never failed to provide great food and...

Extremely disappointed that even though the mask mandate was lifted, no staff member was wearing masks or practicing social distancing. While that is a choice right now, there were a lot of problems with cleanliness witnessed.
Since this location has an open kitchen, everything is visible. While I hope any time an employee left the kitchen they washed their hands, there were several times people went from sweeping to making food without washing hands or putting on gloves. Several times phones were touched and then food; faces and hair were touched and then food. There was also an employee eating a sucker in the kitchen around the food.
Also this is minor, but just to add; tables were well cleaned, but chairs were not touched. I have worked in restaurants and while I know some things are not always thought about, there were several health code violations happening, especially considering we are still in a pandemic, and cases are on the rise.
Definitely did not feel comfortable here, and will not be back until covid is much less of a problem. I really love Greeks, but was very sad to see this level of blatant disregard for...
Read moreOur first visit on 8/29 was ok... Had to wait close to 10 minutes for the server to come and take our order. She was on top of it from then and the food was great. But the server was clearing out at bale while we were waiting for our pizza and she was bad mouthing another employee she changed shifts with and it was loud enough for the enter front dining area to hear.
Our second visit ould possible be out last.. On 9/4 my wife and I went in and brought her parents because we had bragged about the great pizza and sat right in front of the kitchen to make sure we were seen. We sat there for almost 15 minutes and weren't acknowledged by the server at all. Even after multiple employees pointed out that we were waiting and she looked at us directly she still went from the register out to the front dining area. What kind of service is that? And especially in front of the in laws after bragging about the food there.
And to top it off, this was the same server from when we went there a week ago.
Going to try the one on University to see if...
