Went to this location on Sunday June 8th, the service was atrocious. When I went in there were two people standing at the hostess stand, neither acknowledged me. After what seemed like a full minute of awkwardness I finally ask if I could be seated. The young guy reluctantly asked, just one. I looked around to see if someone had came up behind me, there wasn't anyone there. Neither the bar area or dining area was full but the guy offered me a seat near the bathroom. I asked if I could be seated a little farther away from the restroom, again he reluctantly seated me. When the waitress arrived she asked if I would be the only one dining, she was one of the people standing at the hostess station when I arrived, so she knew I was alone. She took my order, somewhat attitudie and walked off, she came back and sat something on the table, I would later learn it was a straw, and possibly silverware. A few seconds later a guy brought some water to the table in a beer mug. He knows nda slung the mug at me and walked off, I asked him for a straw, but he never acknowledged me instead containing to walk off, at which I noticed the waitress looking in my direction. I motioned for the waitress to come over and asked her for a straw. Without saying a word she keeps nda snarled, pointed to what she had sat on the table and walked away. Seconds after our interaction a couple was seated in front of me, I noticed how the staff engaged with them, very friendly, when the waitress came over to take their she was giggling, suggesting menu items and even offer her name. This is the second time I've attempted to patronize this Chili's location, only to be treated like a pariah. The only I can think that the staff treated me so badly both times is perhaps they pegged me as someone who wouldn't tip. If this is the case maybe I they should reconsider how they judge the customers, as I left the establishment both times. Both times the staff missed out as I pride myself in being a very generous tipper, as I tip based on service and not the cost of the meal. I will never set foot in this...
Read moreUpside is still the food. Downside is that the manager walks through the restaurant without even making eye contact with the patrons. We (two adults out for a leisurely lunch) in a mostly-empty restaurant, and the next Parton's seated -- a woman and a grandmother with two toddlers -- were seated right next to us. Sine one of them promptly started lifting and lowering the blinds, ignoring grandma's instructions to leave them alone as she ignored his ignoring her insincere demand, we asked to be moved. We were then seated under a speaker with music playing at about 60 db -- about the same level as moderate conversation. Our request to have the volume decreased was met with a deer-in-the-headlights look of astonishment and the server said she didn't think it was possible, so I asked to speak to the manager (no offense to her, just that a customer's direct request to the manager is sometimes required in these instances). The music was turned down, waaaaay down, and no manager appeared.
Some restaurants just don't get that adults alone -- business people, seniors, individuals with a good book, students studying -- should not be expected to try to enjoy their lunches next to unruly children when the whole restaurant is empty. In fact, a booth or table should be left open between all patrons until the restaurant is full enough that it isn't possible. This provides patrons with a little more privacy for their conversations, as well as a tiny bit of insulation from the over-scented patron, the one who plays audio while watching cat videos, or the one who thinks the person at the other end of their phone conversation is deaf. Simple Restaurant Management 101.
Still, great service, a great menu with great food prepared to exact request at a...
Read moreWhen arriving at this location we were quickly seated and greeted by our server who also was working the bar. He was a very kind fellow that was tentative to our table. This review is not about him, rather a helping hand that works in the kitchen with horrendous health and communication standards. We were sat in a booth with a view of the door to the kitchen in which we could see the prep station and other parts of the kitchen. I was astonished to see one female workers drop food off a plate that had been ordered and sat in the prep station. She quickly picked it up and put it BACK ON THE PLATE. I was mortified but happy it wasn’t my plate. As she left the kitchen to deliver the food she began moving closer and closer to our table. Then I realized it WAS my plate. When I confronted her about the issue, she gave me a dirty look and continually refused her actions. It was clear anything that came out of the kitchen I could not trust. It does not end there, after she left our table she walked directly over to the bar(where our server was working) and began talking about us both behind our back and in front of us. It is pathetic to see an employee stoop so low. I hope that no one else that goes to this location should have to deal with this un called for behavior. I hope management finds this post and gets this issue fixed, other wise I do not see this location being successful...
