I just walked out of this returaunt absolutely baffled! Me and my husband wanted to go (he HATES korean/hotpot he just wanted to sit with me to keep me company) we drove 45 minutes to go and when we walk in the resturaunt it is dead expect for 1 table near the front. We walk in wearing yoga shorts and matching tshirts and the hostess gives us a look, asked us how many. I said "two please" she then immediately turns to her manager and whispers something over to him and he walks up and asks how many again. I said "two but he isn't eating so we will only need 1 menu" he immediately interrupts me and states "if he's sitting he has to pay full price" i looked at him baffled and said "but he isn't eating he's just sitting with me" he then goes on to say 3 different times it was a "buffet" and a "high end establishment" my husband was becoming visibly upset and I told him I dont understand why would he pay 30$ to just sit with me. He then puts his hand up and says "look how am i suppose to know if hes sneaking food or not and I can see your getting offended". I couldn't believe what i was hearing and I just took my husband's hand and walked out. I will never set foot in this resturaunt again i believe we were judged the moment we stepped in for not wearing "high end" attire on a Friday afternoon when we both just got off work. Because why would the hostess immediately call the manager over when we had not stated at that point only 1 was eating. I am appalled and they just lost a customer who would have gone alot because i love hotpot places and this one is much closer than the ones down in nashville. Dont bother walking in you will be judged by your clothes and if you drip with money I suppose. Ps. This resturaunt is not high end at all and the fact his argument was it was a buffet you can go to shabu shabu in downtown nashville its buffet style and my husband can sit with me the whole time. Do...
Read moreFirst of all I was pretty happy to have kpot come to Murfreesboro. But the day I went to eat I was so disappointed. One the music was way to loud. Mind you it was dinner time. But the music was so loud even the server was not able to understand question or orders I have spoken. Other kpot is not this loud where your throat hurts to speak with some in your table. Food was okay. It was very hectic and loud you really can not enjoy your meal. You feel rushed. Also the manager there is not very service oriented. Basically the manager is like this is our moto and if you don't like it. But if you have been to other kpot music is not that loud. Also the pad where you order is more time consuming. It looks nice but there is a glitch and it's not friendly to use. You have you waiter and also the bus server to bring your items. The servers are not trained properly. I thought kpot is a franchise but it seems like it they kind of put different idea from others places and combined to this kpot in Murfreesboro. The manager said it's kind of like nightclub style. We'll. For people who have families kpot would not be a place to go. Rather go to a real korean BBQ place...
Read moreWe have been dying to try this place! First of all, there is a definite WOW factor from the atmosphere as soon as you step through the door. Also, the tables are a great deal larger than the ones at Shabu Shabu. THIS TYPE OF DINING EXPERIENCE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE, and that’s okay. We, personally, love it. We ordered the Szechuan spicy broth and the miso broth, and also opted in to do the grill. There is a nice sauce bar and hot bar where you can make your dips and grab certain snacks, but everything else can be ordered on the tablet at your table and they bring it around to you. OH MY GOSH at the selection. It’s huuuuge. I do wish they had a larger selection of vegetables to go along side their large selection of noodles and meats, but we genuinely had a good time anyways. Our waitress was amazing. Please be patient with these workers! Our waitress was so stressed out when we got there because she had people yelling at her because she didn’t have a clear answer for them on how something worked. This place has been open less than a month and the workers are learning how to get into their groove! Give them time to adjust and smooth it out. They’re...
