Crumbl adds a much needed dessert place to Murfreesboro's dining scene. The cookies are big, and beautifully packaged. Makes for a great informal gift.
I went to Crumbl the weekend they opened. As you will see in my picture, their opening balloon wreath was in place! On that day, the cashier did a great job of explaining background on how they make their cookies, that the frosted sugar and chocolate chip are always available, and that the other flavors rotate. There were just two other customers, and things went relatively fast.
The sugar frosted cookie was great. The frosting has what tastes to me like almond essence, that adds an extra twist of flavor. The chocolate chip cookie was OK. It could have had more "chocolaty" flavor, in my opinion...
I went there again a week later. I guess word must have gotten around, and now there were half a dozen people waiting in line to order, and about a dozen people waiting to pick up their orders. The ordering line moved slow, and I felt I was in for a looong wait. Indeed, the order pick up line had advanced by only one person, by the time I placed my order. Again, I went with the standard orders, rather than custom, partly because the flavors of the day did not appeal to me, and partly because I felt it would add to the time I would have to stand in line.
At payment, I was faced with the option to leave a tip. I am not sure why a carry put place should even ask for a tip, but well, there it was, staring me in the face. I momentarily thought of choosing the "no tip" option, but caved, and left 15%. My order was delivered within a minute or two, bypassing the entire line of people waiting! I think this is because I ordered the standard cookies. So, well, that worked out better than I thought!
These are big cookies, packaged well, and flavorful enough that the price is not a real shock. I hope they work out the logistics of ordering, and get a better estimate of stock and flow, so people are not waiting too long to...
Read moreI leave very few reviews - the very good and the very bad. I have purchased cookies at this Crumbl before but after today I never will again. I popped in at about 4:30pm today (2/27/24) to purchase one (1) chocolate chip cookie. Waited my turn and ordered it. I was told they could not sell me a "single" boxed cookie right now. I could only buy them in quantities - 4, 6, etc. I said I don't need a box, that's okay, I'll just take it on a napkin, lol. She said, no, I can't sell you a "single cookie at all". You can order more but I can't sell you just one. I turned and looked up at the menu on the wall and I said - the menu offers a single cookie for $3.98... She repeated herself that she couldn't sell me just one. I said, just break up a box of 4 and someone else could also buy a single - nope, she couldn't do that. Then I asked if it was just the chocolate chip, could I get a different flavor - she said no, that I could not purchase a SINGLE cookie of ANY FLAVOR. I said that this made no sense. She turned her computer/register monitor around and showed me that her screen had the single cookie option grayed out. She couldn't charge me for ONE cookie. I asked for the manager, and was told she wasn't there. From my perspective, this was actually false advertising based on their signage, (especially with no additional signs indicating a temporary problem). It appears they make/bake there in the store, had PLENTY of cookies, but couldn't sell me ONE? Of any flavor? But I could buy LOTS of cookies in any flavor. If management cared, they could have easily worked around a computer inconvenience - or put out a sign. This just...
Read moreI promise you, this is my first and last time I’m ever coming here. Today was my first time ever getting Crumbl and I will say, customer service was not anything good. I was trying to ignore the fact that as I walked in I was not welcomed. I stood there for a moment waiting for someone to take my order, then after a minute I finally locked eyes with someone and said hello to them and said I was ready and they pointed at the self check out screen and I told them I’m sorry this is my first time here - hardly a reaction. I ordered my cookies, and after 4 minutes I heard our name and was told they’re in the oven and if I could wait 15 minutes and I said sure that’s fine! If I would’ve known that waiting for these to be baked was going to look like this. I would’ve just canceled my order. I did not think they’d serve something so hot off the sheet, you let them rest and cool down… as you can tell not cooled down. This is the birthday cake cookie ft. Oreo… what if it was for someone’s birthday? Absolutely disappointing. To add, the boys in the back of the house were playing with a blown up glove, bouncing it around like a balloon. I saw one girl take cash with her gloves on and went back to folding boxes, not sanitary. I wasn’t going to complain about these two things but after seeing the cookies, I’m complaining. I was hoping the cookie would taste good and just look ugly, but no. After trying the cookie, I gave it a chance but it...
