Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

Went Sunday night as a party of four. Sadly we arrived approximately 9:40, 20 minutes before the lobby closed. The service, in terms of getting our two hamburgers ice cream and strawberry shake took longer than expected. At exactly 3 minutes to 10, two employees approached us at the booth and told us that they were closing a lobby in 2 minutes and we needed to get out. When we asked if they were joking and if they didn't intend to allow us to finish our meal and then leave they said no we had to leave. We complained to the manager who said that yes they probably shouldn't have approached us, but since we were already up we needed to leave. Neither the manager or any employee offered any apologies whatsoever. We finished eating our ice cream in the parking lot only to have them turn out all of the parking lot lights. Apparently the college age and high school age help was more interested in leaving and cruising in the parking lot with their high school friends and burning rubber than they were taking care of customers. Do you like waiting in lines? This place is for you! Service here used to be super fast but now you'll wait in the drive thru line to order for 30 mins at least for ice cream. The way the parking lot is set up too that once you get line, you're basically stuck. We thought maybe it was just this certain time/day we would go but we check the line now as we drive by and there are always cars lined up around and behind the building. I even tested going Inside once to see if that would be faster for 2 Cones, I was wrong. Still waited 30 mins. There were two ladies working the register, mostly just talking and hanging out while they weren't taking orders. I had people come in after me and order food and blizzards and get out before me. Finally one of the ladies noticed I was there a while and pushed through my ticket, seriously 30 minutes for CONES. If you like surprises, this is the location for you as you never know what you’re going to get ... doesn’t matter what you order. We’ve been there several times and have been told they are out of vanilla ice cream. How does an ice cream shop run out of vanilla ice cream so often? We are always SHOCKED when they get our order right and when we actually get a nice, friendly greeting from the drive - thru window worker. Like this evening, my husband ordered one item and the worker said gruffly “what else?” ... he said the next item and she again repeated in an annoyed voice “what else”. Then when I received my peanut buster parfait it wasn’t made correctly (as usual). I’m actually shocked at the positive ratings others are leaving because this location is literally horrible and this is coming from someone that has frequented the location 2 - 3 times in a week because we are ice cream junkies!
