One of the reasons we went to Oishiya is they serve Sea Urchin. Now I can’t explain or describe all of the various sushi offerings that were ordered…but it was a lot! The Sashimi was a nice assortment of different pieces of fish…the mackerel was incredible. The Naruto roll wrapped in cucumber was very good and the sauce really complimented the sushi offering. The Sea Urchin was declared to be very good. We also tried a few “cooked dishes. The Tonkotsu Ramen was delicious…rich broth with tender ramen noodles and flavorful pork. An order of Hibachi NY Strip included vegetables, fried rice, salad, and mushroom broth was good. The steak was tender but lacked the flavor you look for from a hibachi dish. The vegetables were “al-dente” and the rice was good. Basically…all of the sushi and cooked foods that were ordered…disappeared!!! For dessert we tried the Mochi Ice Cream…red bean, mango, and green tea. The mango and green tea were really good…this is an interesting dessert and refreshing.
Our server Souda was a sweetheart, took great care of us, and was a good sport joking around with us. This is a family owned business and is producing some really good food at a reasonable...
Read moreWhere do I begin? I am so grateful to live less than two miles from this quaint little bistro! I love the environment, the atmosphere and of course the food. Not only is their sushi phenomenal, but their hot dishes are just as great. If I had to recommend the perfect meal, I’d suggest the Haru Maki for an appetizer. As for sushi, I’d suggest the Blossom Roll (I have never tasted anything so exquisite before). And if you were still hungry, you cannot go wrong with one of their hibachi dishes. It is clear that the creators behind this menu understand creativity and flavor, as it appears in every bite. The only “downfall” this little bistro has (and I say that lightly) is the space. With seating being limited, sometimes there is a wait time before being seated. But it is so worth it… (Practice Patience) If granted the opportunity to eat here, I would highly highly recommend it! You will not be disappointed!
Thank you to Sonya and her family, for their great contribution to...
Read moreFriday night date night and wanted to try something new. Adding another 5 star review for this restaurant. We ordered lots of sushi- our favorites were special rolls #14 Fantastic Melody Roll (warm/fried), spicy tuna roll (classic), #12 Oishiya Roll (10/10), and #28 Snakebite Roll. We also ordered 2 kitchen appetizers- #2 pan fried gyoza and #6 Tempura Crab and both were amazing. Other things worth noting are the presentation of the dishes, the fast, attentive, friendly, and engaging service, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The space is small, but mighty. Very efficient team happy to help and provide delicious meals to our community. We also enjoyed their selection of music, which was what some refer to as coffee house vibes- we noticed the guests adjusted their conversation to match the mood of the music, so it was a nice, relaxing, cozy environment. Overall 10/10. Already planning our...
