Very disappointed in our experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in the door the impression was not favorable. We had to wait to be seated - the hostess was nowhere to be found. They were not that busy.
When we were finally seated we had to wait longer than we should have for our server to take our drink order. Then our dinner order. Then to receive the food.
After the wait we were very disappointed in the quality of our meals. The two hamburgers were not medium rare as ordered, in fact the were well done and slightly charred. The veggie burger was burnt. The corned beef was fried to the texture of jerky. We nibbled at the food, waiting for our server to return so we could send back our meals. Never showed up so we finally flagged down another server.
The manager then came over and offered us 10% off. She explained they had a new cook. OK, I can understand mistakes happen, but who was supervising the cook and the meals leaving the kitchen? Then to only offer 10% off when none of the entrees were edible. (To add insult to injury we ended up not getting 10% off all of our food.) One of our party was hungry enough that he powered through his charred burger, but the other three meals were left unfinished. The fries had the potential to be good, but they were undercooked and some were chilly in the center.
We weren't looking for free meals, but we also weren't looking to pay $100 (and that only included 2 beers) for meals that were inedible. Once again, I understand that things happen and mistakes are made but this review probably would not have been written if the restaurant had taken more responsibility for the quality of the food. Up until now we've always given a restaurant two chances before we don't go back. ...
Read moreHad a very bad experience today which is not the norm for this business. Waitress was totally off her game, many many mistakes, poor customer service, several issues with our dining experience, kitchen messed up order, etc. Lastly, Appetizer came out half way through meal and was not correct for order detail or quantity. the order was duplicated (doubled) and when pointed out to the waitress there was not much that could be done with the extra food obviously as they would have to throw it out if it was sent back so it was kept at our table. I ate part of it (2/3) then at bill time i was charged for the duplicated order. After pointing it out to the waitress she was extremely cordial about the mistake but the manager insisted that we pay since part of it was eaten. the manager was not the usual guy and did not even offer to come over to hear our complaint but rather just dictated an unreasonable stance from afar. the bill was hesitantly paid but as i explained to the waitress: penny wise, pound foolish. Being forced to pay for food i did not order means the business made $10 extra today but since i am a regular customer to the tune of about $1000-$1200/year income to the business, they lost $1200 over a $10 issue that should not have been an issue as i will never step back into the business. Regular management was not there but they obviously left the business in control of individuals with limited insight as to good customer relations skills and ability to show reasonableness in a simple situation. Again, this is not the usual quality service or treatment that the local community has come to expect from this establishment... very...
Read moreBeen here a many times; this is totally different. Either ownership has changed or the were lightning struck. Service was bad, had to flag down the server MacKenzie to get a refill of tea after ordering 40 minutes. Our order of grouper was 86th, after 20 minutes in and requested flounder(if that was it) , wife ordered a club no tomatoes. 50 minutes in our food arrived and the club sandwich was burnt black on all the slices. Server dropped it and ran away, I do not think she gave any more care to the food that the backhouse. My wife tried to deconstruct the sandwich and scrapped off the burnt sides off. She took one bite and said she was finished. I caught the attention of Gill, and showed him the burnt bread, he said he would get more toast. We declined, as he put a 50% off the dish fie one bite. I ate the tapalia, and we paid, the server came by and asked how was everything - like she had no care or eyes to reject trask food from the back house. I told her to look at the dishes as they were fairly touched and the sandwich did not take much thought that lit was burnt badly. She replied, 'I how this did not reflect my service. I did give my basic $10 tip, for a $40, meal. I am known to give a 10er per person eating. A lot of people were waiting for food. I took a photo. The comp should have the whole dish. Currently, I would stay clear of this place as something has changed badly. Recommend...
