New review! Corporate reached out to us after the last review and truly tried to make our experience top notch. It took us several weeks before my family was willing to go back. And I'm happy to say we had the best experience where had at Red Lobster in twenty years. Same location. They didn't know we were returning after an awful experience. And everything we had was great!* We should learn our lesson since we've had several bad experiences at this location but we've also had some decent experiences so we just keep coming back. This was a low point. We should really stop ordering anything besides seafood because they are not good at anything else. And my wife is not a big seafood lover so we've tried the scope of their menu for non- seafood menu items. Our server was good and we enjoyed his banter although he was busy and didn't bring the sour cream for my wife's baked potato until we had finished eating and it was cold (they originally didn't bring it when the food arrived). All three of our meals were wrong! Both my wife and I were shorted coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp did fill the open space on our plates but we were shorted six total. My daughter's medium rare steak had no pink inside. They cooked another steak which came out too pink inside, and that's not terrible for a good steak, but my daughter couldn't eat it. I thought she might be being too picky so she had me try it and she was right I could not swallow that bite it tasted terrible and I worried that the chef had done something in retaliation. We did not ask to be comped for the steak nor did we communicate this to anyone. At this point we just wanted to finish our dinner and leave, but the manager seeing we had not eaten it comped us for it on our bill. They also brought out our missing coconut shrimp which we enjoyed. All in all it was not the peaceful dinner we had hoped for the celebration we were celebrating. I should also mention that they originally took us to the banquet room in the back and were going to seat the three of us at a twenty person table. That would have been fine if it meant we didn't have to wait for seating but unfortunately it was at least fifteen degrees cooler in this room and all three of us were freezing. We didn't comment on that because they found another table for us in the main section as an alternative before we could raise an objection. It was still cooler in the main section. I was fine but my wife was cold, but it was far better than the very back. Lastly, their rewards app is the worst rewards app that I've tried for restaurants. I had rewards from the past but they now require a password. I tried multiple times and email addresses for a password reset and no password reset came to any of our emails including the junk mail so I lost my prior rewards balance. That was frustrating, but we signed up again on the app and tried to use the wait list portion of the app. It didn't work. We finally called them and got on a wait list after a five minute conversation because of some delays on their end and we were seated immediately when we arrived. We arrived a little frustrated, but were ready for a nice dinner when everything else happened. So after all that we used the little machine on our table to pay our bill and tried to scan for our reward points. We tried for five minutes and it didn't work. We have had no problem at other places! We opted to get a paper receipt for our reward points but then had to wait another five minutes for our server to go and find our paper receipt. We then tried to scan from the paper receipt and it still didn't work. We finally typed in the numbers as an alternative method and it accepted the numbers, but wouldn't show any new points for 24 hours. That has got to be the worst app we have ever used and they really ought to be ashamed of such a poor app for such a large company. We enjoyed the coconut shrimp, the cheddar bay biscuits, lobster and caesar salad but we tried to forget the inconveniences for the rest of our night and that is not what you want to have to say for a...
Read moreI haven't been to Red Lobster in awhile and on a whim thought we would stop by for a quick late lunch. There was no one up front when we walked in and waited almost 5 minutes for someone to show up to seat us. We sat for over 10 minutes waiting for a server to greet us, who ironically offered us "world class service." She took another 5 minutes to bring a water and a soda and told us she would be with us in just a minute. Meanwhile a couple who was seated after us, was immediately promised the same level of service and got it. They had appetizers before our server even came back to take our order. Their main course was ready and delivered to their table very quickly while we waited another 20 minutes from the time we finally got to place our order to getting our lunch. That table has multiple drink refills while the soda was refilled once and the water refill never happened. The food quality was mediocre. My wife ordered from the Lobsterfest menu and I went for fish and chips. Her lobster was rubbery and masked with lots of butter and garlic. She liked the Lobster Mac-n-cheese. My fish and chips were pathetic. A small number of french fries, but the biggest disappointment was the most disappointing hard-cooked, very thin, and small filet of cod I have ever seen. A huge bowl of coleslaw was in the plate, possible to offset the lack of tasty fish. We even felt the biscuits were smaller and less cheesy than in the past. We initially declined the dessert, but when the server finally brought the check 10 minutes after we had been finished eating (the couple behind us was already fed and long gone), she was visibly exasperated when we asked for a piece of key lime pie to go. It took her another 10 minutes to come back with the pie and a new check. I have been known to tip up to 100% for outstanding service and a connection with our server. I also do not withhold a tip for things out of a server's control, but I seldom to do less than 20%, but this time she would have to be happy with slightly over 10% on our $90 bill. If you want good fish, even the burger places have better service and better tasting fish. Don't waste your time and money here. Our quick lunch? We arrived around 1:30 and walked out at...
Read moreGoing to start by saying that our waitress was super nice. We came here last night with the group of five a little after 7. My partner came in a little after us so his order was separate than the rest. 20, 30, 40 minutes go by and our appetizer hadn't came out. Our waitress came over and apologized and said that they had a large banquet whose order was placed right before ours which is why it was taking so long. Then they brought out my partners order before any one else's even though he ordered ten minutes after us. The server said since his was a single order it got pushed ahead, which is a flaw in the system if true. Over an hour after ordering a few of our orders came out, and then the waitress asks if the manager has talked to us yet. Apparently they ran out of crab which is what 2 of us ordered. It's really frustrating that they didn't realize they were out of an item until we'd already spent most of the night there waiting. They ended up having one extra order of crab, which they brought to our table. They did end up giving us that crab comped, which was nice, but we didn't end up with any of the sides that we had ordered with our meal. We had to ask multiple times for crab utensils, and for a side that someone else at the table had ordered. I do not blame the waitress at all. I could tell she felt really bad and I think she was really overwhelmed with whatever mess was happening in the kitchen, however, the most frustrating part of this whole night is that the manager didn't feel the need to come talk to our table one time. I wouldn't have expected anything else comped from our meal but the fact that we could see the manager walking around and he didn't acknowledge our table one time or even just say hey I'm so sorry, It was a bad night for us, shows a lot about their customer service. At one point we were one of the only tables left in the building, so it was obvious we had been there for a long time waiting because we were there until close. Just terrible experience and obviously lack of caring...
