Benny's Subs — Restaurant in Murrieta

We ordered their $110 sandwhich platter. I personally called it, explained what we wanted, and the girl who answered did not seem to know how to take a catering order. She passed the phone off to a gentleman, and he took the order. He repeated it back to me. He had it 100% correct when he repeated it back.

I picked up the order, got home... and the order was butchered. I drove back again, halfway across Murrieta, and when I got there, i explained what happened, what was wrong.

One of the girls went into the back, and then came out and told me that they cant/wont fix the food. They also indicated that they tried to "call a manager" but no one picked up. Piss Poor Management if this is true. Very Poor Customer Service if its a lie.

This was for a 7 year olds birthday party. Half of the food for the party was ruined, and they wouldn't make it right or refund the platter.

I posted this review, and copied it to facebook as well. I got a call from one of the owners 2 days later. She apologized profusely, claimed they had a bit of a staff retraining, and refunded the cost of the platter.

Very negative experience up front, but the owner seemed legitimately upset that someone had a bad experience and seemed to sincerely want to...

My family and I have been coming to Benny’s for years and absolutely love their food! We have never had any issues until today... One of the ladies got my mom and end piece of the bread and was huffy and puffy when my mom asked for a different piece of bread before the sandwich was made. The lady was rude from then until we left. A man came in without a mask and nobody asked him to put on a mask. Concerned for our safety and the safety of others, my mom asked the workers if he needed a mask since there are signs requiring masks upon entry. They all looked at each other super annoyed and didn’t even answer her. The lady helping us started acting more rude and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Throughout this pandemic my family has tried to support small business as much as possible. This occurrence was so unexpected and unfortunately I don’t think we will be continuing to...

Benny's Place is a nice little sandwich shop hidden in a corner with a nicely clean establishment. The staff is ok. They get to the point. Not really a warm greeting, but that's ok. They do support other businesses by allowing other business cards and materials on thier walls which is nice. The food is ok at best. I had a ruben sandwhich. I ordered a large. But in all honesty wasn't that fulfilling. And quite pricey. I had a bottled drink with my sandwhich. The sandwich ended costing $11. and change and my drink $3 plus change too so $17 with tip added on. For that much I expected more but alas got much less. You would find that the serving is not the greatest for the price you pay. The sandwhich is small, decent at best. 6/10. Tasted ok for a Reuben. Too small and the bread was thin unfortunately...
