Los Jilberto's Taco Shop Murrieta — Restaurant in Murrieta

I recently had a very poor experience at Los Jilberto's.

I love Los Jilberto's and I frequently return to this one and the one in Wildomar when I am in Murrieta. I visited Los Jilberto's off Madison with some friends, having suggested it. However, this is unacceptable. I love wet chicken burritos, and decided to try theirs, but this mess that I ordered today is very poor quality. My friends' orders were not favorable either which prompted me to write this.

To describe the burrito, it was a soggy mess. The burrito was filled with nothing but wet chicken shreddings. Water was practically dripping out my mouth. The salty, soggy filling was closer to a tuna sandwich in burrito form, if I have ever had one. In fact, it looks like it filled with tuna!

To compare their chicken burrito to others, others I have ordered at different resturaunts have a delectable selection of beans, rice, chicken, guacamole, sour cream, etc, inside. The burst of different flavors is why it has now become my favorite recently, transitioning from other orders.

I thought Los Jilberto's could hold their own but was sadly let down.

I would probably not have written this review if it was just me, except that my additional orders were reportedly bad according to my friends. My friends did not like ordered their food, either. Well, so much for our get together and enjoying good Mexican food. I'm kinda embarrassed for suggesting Los Jilberto's. Still, to be fair, I can not completely speak for them so please just consider my anecdotal experience, alone.

The resturaunt is clean. There is plenty of seating. The staff are friendly, but all of this is surpassed by the importance in quality of food. If the recipes are this bad, I have no reason to return. I sincerely hope they read this review and consider some rectifications of their entrees, because if I have the same experience again, forget it.

I will probably visit one more time at a later date, and if all is well, I remove this review and post a positive. If the experience is the same, then I'll have to go somewhere else.

I gave a two star for the embarrassingly poor quality of their food and to try and get the resturaunt's attention. I did not give it a one star for other factors like friendliness and cleanliness. I will remove this negative review and change it to a positive should the food be...

This is one of the places that we tend to frequent. But, not happy at all with our last experience here last week. We ordered shredded chicken tacos, fish tacos, and two orders of their shredded chicken enchiladas. We should have checked the bags before we took them home. We were shorted an order of the chicken enchiladas. I called, and they said to come back for the rest of the order. They were good about that, but, I had to go back there another day to get the rest of our order as it was near closing time. Our other issue was that the chicken that was used for our meal, it was not shredded, it was not even trimmed properly. It seemed to be chunks of chicken thigh meat. It was nasty. Horrible customer service and relations!!!!!!

I've been coming here for years and years but NO MORE!!!! People apparently don't care about making the customer happy!!! Over a buck forty!!!

I will tell everyone I know, about the horrible attitude they had. I called in an order for for 2 egg bean and cheese burritos but no cheese on one and asked them to put that cheese on the other burrito, and the girl said okay I got it. When I got there, they charged me $1.40 for extra cheese and said, but you didn't put cheese on one of them and you charged the same as IF it had cheese.

A young guy came up and said sorry that's the way it is. And I said but you charged the same amount for the one without cheese. He wouldn't remove the $1.40.

So I said,, so you're willing to lose a customer over $1.40 for something that you can make right? He said yes, I'm not...
