MegaBites Pizza To Go — Restaurant in Murrieta

Walked over to this place while getting an oil change. The guy behind the counter was great and super helpful, they had barely opened for the day so it was dead. He was quick with my daughter’s pizza and she said it was great.

My ability to give three stars is based on the BLATANT false advertising. There is a banner in the window with French fries on it. There is a hanging sandwhich menu with two giant pictures of sandwiches and fries, which says “all sandwiches come with a side of fries.” Also a menu teaming with pictures of said sandwiches and fries. So imagine my surprise when the dude behind the counter said “we don’t have fries here, we haven’t started getting them yet.” Been around 3 years since my days in the food industry but I think it’s wild to have fries be such a hard ask that they really planned on getting them but haven’t yet. Glad I didn’t pay 17 dollars for a smallish looking sandwhich that wouldn’t have come with them. Wild. I could also tell I’m not the first person to have asked this question. UPDATED review: Saw that Scott Barone was the owner according to the flippin pizza website. The lady working today 06/10/2024 (it is now 2pm) informed my husband SHE was the owner when my husband was trying to ask for the manager or owner when he came in earlier for the replacement pizza.

I just called to speak to Scott Barone and she had nothing to say and just hung up on me.

*I don't know her relation to the owner but hopefully she is not fraudulently claiming ownership of this business because that is just the saddest thing to witness.

Horrible service from the lady working today 06/10/2024 around the hours 11am- 1pm. She told my husband on the phone to come back in 2 hours for a replacement order offered by the kind gentleman a couple weeks ago (burnt pizza when picked up).

She told my husband that she was too busy and to come back in the time mentioned above.

My husband arrived at this location and had this disrespectful smirk on her face and asked what he wanted?

She also claimed to be the owner of this location. For the owner to act this way to a customer? That is actually really...

I am beyond frustrated with the misleading information surrounding this business. I drove 30 minutes in traffic with my sons to enjoy what was supposed to be a visit to Flippin Pizza, only to arrive and find out it’s not even Flippin Pizza anymore! Nowhere on Google, Yelp, or any online listing does it state that this location is CLOSED and has been replaced by something called Mega Pizza. How is it possible that no one has updated this critical information?

This is not just an inconvenience—it’s an absolute failure in customer communication and service. If the business has changed ownership or names, it is their responsibility to update the public and avoid wasting people’s time and money. Instead, I was left with two very disappointed kids and no pizza.
