I have to say the workers have started just not being as good as they used to the 17to 20 year olds don’t matter how you speak there’s always a tone in there voices constantly leaving things out of orders and laughing when I’m coming back in for my food they forgot i have to say a super burrito shouldn’t be that hard to get or remember for a order with like 4 other things or dirty looks out the drive through after saying have a good day to them and just over all isn’t a fun place to go in and eat anymore not to mention the conversations the younger kids have granted it’s own personal opinion but some things shouldn’t be brought up in a family friendly work place, I feel that either the place needs to get new worker or more mature and more skilled workers not someone with no train right out of highschool or fresh into college you would think they would have better people skills and have more respect for others around them or the younger kids need to have something said or something done I used to love coming through taco John’s and now talking to the staff is just disappointing at this point judging someone you don’t know and giving dirty looks after handing food off out the windows horrible customer service genuinely so disappointed I know how hard it is so I always try and be nice talking to people through the drive thoughts since Ik some can be rude ordering genuinely this needs to get fixed I’ve had a few buddies come throught same things and even to there own daughters and sons simply cause NONE OF THOSE KIDS CAN JUST DO THERE JOBS AND LEAVE THE HIGHSCHOOL DRAMA AT HOME foods still great love the food and I would like to be able to continue coming for my food but if they younger kids are going to continue with the crap services might as well shut the taco John’s down or something get new workers seriously it’s not...
Read moreWe tried the new location on Park Ave today. What a disappointment!! The quality of food is NOTHING like it was on the south end. Also, their sauce bar has four options which is half what they had on south end.
I ordered the Taco Perfecto, beef burrito, and steak street taco trio. The Taco Perfecto was bland and topped with orange tomatoes. My beef burrito was made with a cold, damp tortilla and my street taco trio tasted like it was just pulled out of the fridge.
My wife ordered her pastime staple in two beef and potato burritos, and her face told all...she was just as disappointed.
During our visit, a person walked up to talk to the couple right behind us, making conversation about what they ordered, and the guy's response was "apparently, I ordered cold meat" and his wife followed with, "mine is cold too."
One good thing about Taco John's new location, is that Taco Bell is right...
Read moreThis franchise was awful down on Grandview Avenue, and it is still awful up on Park Avenue.
Of all the Taco John's locations I have been to, this location has the most expensive prices, with the "6 pack and a pound" menu item being priced about 2-3 dollars more than any other location I've visited.
Despite my issues with the local franchise, I still visit once in a blue moon in hopes that things have improved, and I always leave disappointed (and with whatever I ordered being messed up).
If you are looking to get your taco fix, this town has many great local establishments such as the Burrito Factory on Park Ave, Guadalajara's on 2nd St, and Izalco in South End across the railroad tracks from the Dollar General...
