China One — Restaurant in Mustang

We had been told by some friends that this place was great…. So my wife ordered online general tso’s , beef fried rice and crab Rangoon and we went to pick it up and I went in to get it.

First impressions are everything and clearly was not impressed , never welcomed and finally when the guy behind the counter actually was able to understand the phone order he got to me… I gave him a phone number? Nope! Name? Nope! And finally I said it was an online order and was able to get our food.

Got home and was looking forward to it regardless of the interaction at the store …. I ordered General Tso chicken, that was NOT General tso’s or if it was their interpretation of it it was a gigantic fail, I ate 2 or 3 pieces but that’s all I could choke down of it and it went in the trash, my wife was so so with the rice and the crab Rangoon was undercooked. On the positive side the egg roll was good.

First impression was my last impression of this place and anyone that tells you this place is good I question their taste buds or maybe this is the crap Asian food people down here are used too.

Got a happy family lomein. Noodles are completely dry, absolutely no flavor or salt period. Just plain cooked noodles with no sauce or oil. Just stuck together over cooked in one big mush ball.. Hardly any meat. Very very disappointing. I was craving this too. I knew not to expect high quality,but even my dog wouldn't eat this.

• tried to put stuff on it and eat it anyways. Literally 4 tiny little shrimp the size of a quarter, hard over cooked precooked frozen shrimp, and a few crumbles of old tasting precooked chicken. The pork was the cheap pink kind in the fried rice. Even skimped on the portions with that nasty processed stuff. For that, and an egg drop soup for 15 bucks, I could got a lunch meal from an hibachi place and got real quality food. Doubt these people stay in business. I just wanted to give a shout out to the young lady working Last night . She got super busy really fast. I sat there and watched and listened to her never lose her patience, kept a smile on her face, helped everyone in a timely manner with the up most professional attitude. She is the first person every customer comes in contact with, in person and on the phone. She has the best customer service I’ve seen in a very long time. She deserves praise and a big thank you from her employer. They are very lucky in this day and age to have someone that age to handle the stress of running the whole restaurant front with the professionalism I witnessed last night. She deserves a lot of praise from the people that own that restaurant! Keep up the good work!! Also, no complaints about the food either. Very good, large portions great tasting.
