We stayed at the Dunes Village Resort 9/5 - 9/8 . On Saturday 9/6 we decided to go here since it was conveniently located within the resort to have a late dinner maybe 45 minutes to 1 hour before closing. Our server Shanae (Jamaican lady) was EXTREMELY rude ! She automatically had an annoyed face when our party arrived. We had just been seated and she was rushing us right away for our drinks and what we wanted to order mind you we hadn't receive the menu yet. We asked her to give us a few minutes to go over the menu and she seemed bothered by the request. Once we placed our orders it took about 30 minutes to get to the table and my husbands order (club sandwich) was wrong. He had received a wrap instead and was willing to just accept it since the order took a while to get to the table but as soon as he bit the wrap it was inedible and had requested for his original club sandwich. Once the club sandwich came she literally watched over him to see if he was going to eat it or not, he took a bite and honestly was disappointed. The cheese looked like Walmart's great value plastic cheese and the ham/ turkey was rubbery like low quality prepackaged lunchmeats. At that point he gave up and just didn't want to eat anything but was still going to pay for it. Fast forward to getting ready to pay and get to go boxes for the rest of the party, we had asked for 4 boxes and she came back with 2. We requested more boxes and she was annoyed at the fact that we asked for more when she hadn't brought out what we asked for then had the audacity to say "you counted wrong." We where all so done with her nonsense. She then came with the bill that already included and 18% gratuity (which quite frankly she did NOT deserve) and handed it over the rail , not directly to us on the table and wanted us to do HER JOB and pass her the dirty plates & cups over the rail instead of her coming around the rail to directly pick up from the table like any ordinary waiter/waitress would do. If she expected another dime or penny for her unprofessionalism in tip she was very mistaken, we did NOT tip her at all for her poor service. This was definitely not a pleasant nor welcoming experience at all , more so because of the waitress herself - the food aside from the club sandwich was ok but could have been better. The owner/ manager in charge definitely needs to re-evaluate his staff, she will definitely be one of the reasons for several loss of customers and business as ourselves, we will NOT...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood was great and our waitress was very nice. The Dr. Pepper was was to sweet but that isn't the reason for my 2 star review.
I got the bill $96 for 4 people is a little higher than I would have expected to pay for just sandwiches but that's fine. They added a 18% tip on my bill, then I pay with my card they bring me the paper copy that I need to sign and it asks for another tip. I tried the get someone attention but they didn't seem to hear me. Finally I got someone to stop and I asked did I already give a tip on the bill and the lady said yes. I'm not saying it is, but as this happen in real time it almost felt like a scam to get an extra tip. The food was pretty good but I dont think I will go back just because of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst day we arrived or room want ready (5pm almost by now) we decided to try here to eat and we were a bit disappointed! We spent $56 on 2 adults and 3 kids which was reasonable but our food was barely warm by the time we got it. I had the club sandwich which the bread was toasted too hard on, my husband had fish and shrimp which our waitress had to confirm he could get because he don't eat clams or oysters that came with the captain's meal. Our food took us a while to get and the fries with the meals were a bit hard. Or waitress stayed on top of filling our drinks though highly doubt we'll return while we're...
