McAdoo's Beach Bar — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

I had a sudden urge for a strawberry daiquiri at 12:45am and I wasn't looking for a busy, bustling, overly crowded, noisy, all those icky things I don't enjoy on my relaxing beach vacation. I did a quick google search for strawberry daiquiri near me while standing near my hotel on the beach. That's when Google told me about McAdoos. Just a mile away walk from my hotel, with 2 hours till close my husband and I set out hoping it would be what I was looking for atmosphere wise. As we walked up I saw a loud crowded club with security outside and was totally hoping it wasn't this place. My family and I visited this bar last night on vacation and chose this bar for its cozy look and beach view. The bartender was very friendly. The mixed drinks, however, were a joke. I paid $14.25 for a bucket drink to share with my mother in law. We drank the whole thing, as well as her a pina colada and me a beer, and we could immediately tell there was literally NO alcohol in them! I am a bartender myself and rarely drink, so alcohol usually hits me quick. I literally believe they refilled the bottles with something other than alcohol. And i know alcohol and myself have an extremely low tolerance, so can tell if i have had alcohol or not. This place is a tourist trap and a rip off! I do not recommend for anyone...

Go here and see Ms.Franny. That’s is my lady. I absolutely love her and she was so friendly and even gave us hookah recommendations because next door can be so strict. She came and checked on us while we sat outside and enjoyed the beach and music. Cleared the table of any trash. She even charged my phone for a sec for me. I will forever remember her and any time I come here I’m stopping in to see if she is working. That’s my word. It’s hard to meet good people these days and people that are just genuinely kind. I told her I will never forget her name because my great grandmother just turned 100 and that’s her name. She is a gem and deserves her flowers! Love...
