Has lots of options of toys but the associates arenât very helpful or polite. My child love Toy Story. They had plushâs of woody, Buzz and the Aliens. I ask the lady at the register how much the where and she said 8.99 and I was like â$8.99?â and she said âYes $8.99â so I grabbed all three and head to the check out. When I went up she was like I donât think these are 8.99 let me go ask someone else. Mind you she had already told me 8.99. The other lady came up and try to look for the price and she was like I think they like 14.99 or 16.99 had to call someone on the phone and ask. Turns out they were 14.99. And I was thinking about it because thatâs a 6 dollar difference from the price she had told me the first time. They were both rushing me to get out of line although there wasnât anyone behind me in line. And the other associate just took them to put them back when I was about to say Iâll take them. Even thought there wasnât much to think about because I had already told my child I was gonna let him take all three because she told me they were 8.99. I still took them with me and they still the audacity to charged a gratitude fee for âhelping meâ. Yea I get it I might sound a little like a âKarenâ but I work in retail myself and know if you tell a customer one price you have to give them that price or a little bit of a discount for the misunderstanding because âthe customer is...
Read moreWell let me tell you about my experience today at Toy Island. Today I went in looking for something for my son birthday, which was yesterday. So we're excited to try and find him something he likes. So when we came in we were greeted by the cashier, so everything seemed okay. We started to look around and then instantly a guy pops out of nowhere. So we think nothing of it. And we continue shopping. So I went too look in the back of the store and the guy continues to follow me. Again I don't think anything of it, because it's a "family/toy" store. So I'm looking and I notice the guy looking over my shoulder. So I turned around and said hello to him. He walks around me and said hello too. So thinking he's just doing a walk around the store, he continues to stand around me. So at this point my wife is mad. So she tells me let's go right now. So we left and then I called back and asked for the manager and whoever answer the phone said their were the managers. I didn't believe it at all. So I begin to explain the story to them and he stated the guy (Ozzie) just started. Of course it's a lie, I called back and their is no Ozzie there or works there. I don't want to say it was racism, maybe just a misunderstanding or maybe it was racism. I don't want to blame the whole store but you did...
Read moreOn Sunday, January 27th, I went in to shop with my son. There were other customers in the store but at this point I never thought anything strange but no one asked if we needed any help during our time shopping. No big deal because I didnât. The problem came at the checkout. There was another group standing and waiting but I noticed they left and so we stood at the counter 3 or so minutes with no one at the register to check us out. We looked around the store and noticed a young girl standing to the right of us talking on the phone so I approached her to ask if she worked there. Prior to me interrupting her she was saying to the person with whom she was speaking to âwell you make time for them but never meâ. That is when I interrupted her and she came to the register. We could have easily walked out with about one hundred dollars of items as could others. This young lady definitely needs to be reprimanded for this...
