Disappointed with the customer service our waitress provided. It was difficult communicating our order to her, she was just not understanding the name of the pizza we were saying (and she could not even pronounce the name herself!) Her name tag specifically indicated that she was from czech, so I can only assume that english is not her first language.
What went down hill, is that she brought us the wrong pizza. Not only the wrong pizza- but one that caused us to have an allergic reaction. When asked what was on the pizza she did bring us because we were starting to feel sick, she could not tell us. It was very clear she was not well versed with the menu OR maybe she is and she just could not understand us ? Either the case.. she showed zero concern for us, as we stated that we think she served us something we are allergic to. I had to request that she take the incorrect pizza (causing a reaction) away. She blamed the kitchen, did not apologize and did not bring the manager when requested and left us without drink refills. Our allergic reaction was small, in the time that we were there- so we ended up waiting for our replacement pizza and left with it To-Go. We wanted to cancel our Pizza and leave immediately but she avoided us the entire time ( I think she hid in the kitchen) and we could not find another staff member to find her for us. It was very slow when we were there, no other customers and barely any staff upfront. By the time we saw another staff member, we had already waited long enough for our pizza to come out! Ridiculous.
about an hour or so later, the reaction got worse and we realized what it was that she served us (peanuts).
We understand the risk we take, eating out with an allergy. To show literally no concern for your mistake and to avoid us the entire time.. makes me not want to return to this establishment and I usually go here every time i visit the beach! We go for the food and the atmosphere and BOTH aspects were an utter fail. I used to serve, so I did not want to walk out on our bill knowing that she would end up having to cover it. In this instance, worst money...
Read moreDidnt get a chance to eat the food because the pizza was served so hot my 3yr old burned her lip. Luckily she reacted fast enough to pull the pizza away, resulting in just a small blister at the bottom of her lip. The manager or so called manager Tanisha, shrugged the whole situation off and told me verbatim "Had we served the food cold you would have complained, sorry it happened" and walked off then sent the waiter out with our bill, stating I was ready to check out. I'm not from Myrtle Beach so maybe thats the expectation of customer service there, but what little we did eat wasn't that great for horrible service. When I asked for the Managers name to be sure I had it right as I was leaving, I was giving 2 names Amy and Tanisha so not sure who the Manger was at that point.... I then reached out to the corporate office to report the behavior. Spoke with Suzanne D EVP of EXTREME PIZZA and pretty muched got the same response "sorry it happened" but never even admitted that they were wrong and should reconsider serving food at such hot temperatures. I even sent pictures, provided names, and the bill. I never heard from her after the sad apology. Yet for food we barely touched and burned my child (regardless how big or small its the principle), I stilled paid the full bill and tipped the waiter as she was the only one that had even a little bit of sympathy while my child was screaming and offered ice.
As a frequent Myrtle Beach traveler, I'll never go back. Just be careful if you like to spoil your children at times and get them a small personal pizza, especially from Extreme Pizza. The waiter won't warn you that its hot, and if your child happens to burn themselves they'll just shrug it off, and send youn on...
Read moreExtreme Pizza has always been one of those places that we took family and friends to when they were visiting us in Myrtle Beach. Always loved the pizza, and the “Extreme” came always to mind when we ordered the Calzones. Even the regular size was always something to look forward to. Most recently, however, Extreme Pizza seems to have transformed into Average Pizza.
The Calzone literally shrunk by 50% while the price, I believe has been the same. I am not sure if the term ‘Extreme’ has been re-interpreted by the owners? Is it the Extreme Shrink now? Or is it simply a prep for the tourists coming soon to lift pricing by reducing the portion size?
I get it, the previous size was a bit ridiculous, but so is the current one. Maybe it’s the extreme(ly) changing) pizza? Either way. You guys literally increased the price of the Calzone by about 50%. I am not sure if that whole inflation talk still supports these kind of shenanigans, but it really has to stop. I feel somewhat betrayed with this kind of practice. Of course you can raise prices and change your dishes, and good for you, if you can get away with it. But we’re looking for a different place and there are so many decent pizza options in the MB area that it is next to impossible to continue to recommend your place.
It's almost sad to see this happen – I’d rather would have liked to see the price go up by a dollar than you shrinking one of what has certainly been a good product on your menu.
Food quality was average and hostess was nice, so not a 1- or 2-star. But it's not a 4-star anymore. Very disappointing and not for us anymore....
