Moe's Original BBQ in Pawleys Island had been recommended to us by several people. When we saw that they were opening a branch in Myrtle, we knew it wouldn't be long before we'd get there. I've biked past this new location a couple of times and could smell that beautiful aroma of hot hickory burning, which just makes my mouth water. We were able to slide by on a Friday just before noon in June. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. When we first arrived there were no other customers, but by the time we left the restaurant was half full with patrons. This will be a popular destination for the working crowd at lunch. I'm here for BBQ, so naturally, I ordered the Pulled Pork platter and I picked sides of Boudin Balls and Skillet Corn (the sides were from their Specialty Sides list which change regularly). The platter also comes with a piece of Moe's Cornbread. The platter cost $16, and cards are accepted. The BBQ is served with a little sauce and does have some bark. First bite of the unsauced BBQ was good on flavor but a little dry. When I added their Moe's Original Sauce it really kicked the flavor up and made it very good. The sauce is a thinner ketchup style, not a vinegar sauce and I was very impressed. The combination of sauce and meat is the key here. My wife and son tried the Smoked Turkey and the Ribs. I found the Smoked Turkey to be the most flavorful I've ever tasted! Unfortunately the Ribs were gone before I could try them, but I was told they were very good. All of the sides were great too. The Boudin Balls had a bread crumb coating on a ball of chicken bog, served with a drizzling of Alabama style BBQ sauce. The Skillet Corn had chopped sausage on top of yellow corn and while I wouldn't normally mention cornbread, I would be remiss if I didn't. The cornbread was very dense and had some charring from a flat top on one side. It was nice and sweet and they really knocked it out of the park! Our experience was worth the trip and we enjoyed it. We'll be back again!

Tried the restaurant after hearing about it's opening. The food here is fantastic. We ordered smoked Turkey, pulled pork, house chips, chili and baked beans. All the food here was on point, great smoky flavor and we really enjoyed our meals. The BBQ sauce is served warm from squeeze containers. Sodas, tea and lemonade are selfserve from the fountain. Prices were very reasonable and there were daily specials. There is also a small bar area with a nice assortment of beers and top shelf liquors. The restaurant was nicely decorated and appeared clean. This is definitely the place to go for bbq and we will be happy to visit again.

Place was very nice inside as it is a new building . Menu was very limited and the pork beans with bacon were the only highlight. They were out of max and cheese and we were there pretty early in the day just after lunchtime. No brisket on the menu and the portion size was a little small for the price. The smoked pork was mediocre at best. I wasn’t quite aware at the time but after finding out they are a chain restaurant that explains the quality. There are so much more barbecue spots that are better in quality than this place. I can’t give them a negative review as the food was ok but there is much better out there.

This place was amazing! My husband and I both got the ribs, they were fall off the bone deliciousness! My son got the smoked pulled chicken and of course I had to try it, and let me tell you, I will be making another 30 min trip just to have that next time! They have so many selections to choose from and I want to try them all! The fried okra was on point, as well as the red beans and rice and the collards tasted like grandma made them! Even the fries were delicious, my son is STILL talking about how well they were cooked and how great they were! My husband and I decide to end this awesome meal with their banana pudding and let me tell you, that stuff was slap your mama good! If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend that you do! You will NOT be...

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Moe’s BBQ in Myrtle Beach on May 5th. From the moment I walked in, Ron at the front made me feel right at home. His energy was contagious, and his friendly attitude set the perfect tone for the visit. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth and welcoming—and he made sure my Miller Lite was never dry!

In the kitchen, Kevin was the real MVP—every single dish that came out was cooked to absolute perfection. You could tell there was pride behind every plate. The BBQ was flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced with the sides.

Between Ron’s outstanding customer service and Kevin’s expert cooking, this visit was a standout. Moe’s BBQ is definitely a must-visit if you’re in...
