Most of the deep south has a Popeye's and their chicken is good.👍However, New Orleans Louisiana is the exception.😁☝️The chicken there can be compared to my grandma's peach cobbler.🥧....Wait.🤔 'Nothing'...can be compared to that.🤣🎯 But they do a fantastic job and take it very seriously. It's funny because it's been that way down there since I can remember. You'd like to experience it for yourself? Okay, the next time you find yourselve there, just go to any Popeye's. It doesn't matter which one as long as it's in New Orleans! It's hard to explain! Absolutely they got other fine cajun restaurant doting that city. And I do suggest you go there and enjoy their jambalaya and gumbo or a giant poboy sandwich loaded with deep fried crunchy shrimp 🍤 dressed with lettuce, and a few pickles on a French roll which goes quite nicely with some suds.🍻But Popeye's is in the equation too! If you go, dine in groups. Unfortunately New Orleans has become a high crime area in a lot of places there. And since we're in the COVID-19 era, you may want to chill for 'a minute' before you visit.🤔 Hey, safety first. Now outside of 'the big easy,' Popeye's chicken doesn't taste the same. It's different.🙄It's interesting, at the airport in Hong Kong, circa 2018, I noticed they ‘had’ a Popeye's there too! I believe I was the only 'brother' in site. But I thought to myself, "forget it. You get in that long line, you're gonna' miss your flight pal."🛫😥 I might as well be in the line for the Star Wars exhibit at Disneyland in Anaheim CA., on a weekend. I guess they had to get Popeyes out of the airport because it was causing too many delays. Passengers missing their connection, They can’t find the flight crew that fly’s the plane, the baggage handlers are nowhere to be found, the airport police are not answering their radios, Popeyes was likely the culprit. Judging by that line I saw, that couldn’t last. Still, I love Hong Kong. And, I love Popeyes especially in New...
Read moreI had an issue. Which I've had issues before with this Popeyes but the folks there are really nice and so accommodating if anything ever arise. This time. Not so much. I paid for food that I didn't get Xmas day due to a delivery truck not showing up. No problem. Totally understandable, it was xmas day. Was told by the worker at the window to come back on tom for the refund. That's where the issue comes in. First off, the AA male in the kitchen was really trying to help me. Young guy, he was giving me solutions to try and everything. So I would like to acknowledge his effort. But the Latina at the front counter - either she wasn't listening or she didn't care. First she asked me what was the name of the person who told me to come back. Huh???? Idk her name, but why is that relevant? Check the video. I told her the order was placed on the app. She asked me if I had a receipt. Huh??? I told her the order was for shrimp and that I would be glad to just get the food now instead of a refund. But she kept asking if I got the chicken. Huh??? I told her I was going out of town TODAY and I wanted to take care of it before leaving. She told me to come back tomorrow. Huh??? Then after not paying attention to me, I was frustrated about that. She asked if I wanted her to write down the manager's name for me and told me to have a nice day twice, both in a facetious manner trying to get me out the door.
I paid my money and didn't get the product. I mean, did I do something wrong? She could have just apologized for my inconvenience, made my shrimp platter with no drink and everything would have been...
Read morePopeyes was once my favorite chicken but has steadily been going down. I waited in line forever in the drive trough when there was only 3 cars. Once I got to the order speaker they told me to wait. When I gave my order they then said that they didn't have the regular chicken that all they had was spicy and wasn't going to be cooking more. I drove to the window and they had my order confused with the order ahead of me because he got tired of waiting and drove off. After we got that straight then they said they didn't have the pieces I ordered and would have to substitute. Then to top it all off they didn't give me my drink. The chicken wasn't very fresh, the biscuit was hard and cold and to top it off the chicken looked like it was from a baby chicken the pieces were so small. The only thing good was the Cajun rice. It's ashamed because Popeyes use to be one of the best chicken places. Now they are one of the more expensive and lowest quality there is. It's like they're trying to save their self rich. After last night I'm done with them or at least the Nacogdoches store. I should have went to the chicken place across the street from them they are expensive too but you get more for your money there and they always have whats...
