I went here last night. Ordered 2 westerns, 1 big carl, 2 kids meals, chicken stars, 3 fries and 3 crisscut fries. (A million dollar order, but it was going to make my entire family happy).
Let me start off by saying, I used to work at carls jr, about 12 years ago. Hands down my favorite burger chain. Westerns are my absolute favorite burger.
Here's what happened: They missed my crisscut fries, no issue it was a large order.
She gave me 1 crisscut and walked away. I had to correct that it was 3 crisscut and not 1 - she didn't bother to look up to verify until after I said 3. She seemed a little annoyed to have been corrected.
Again, it's a large order, I wasn't terribly upset (and used it as a learning moment for my 11 year old who came with me... check your food before leaving the resturant).
We get home, hand out the food. The burgers are bleh (super bummed because westerns are my favorite. I got about 4 bites in and gave up).
Husband ate half of his. My eleven year old ate her food, but was not happy. My little kids seemed pretty happy with their kids meals - mainly because there was a cookie to look forward to.
The fries were cold and mushy. Another bummer, at least the crisscuts were bit better. Well the 2 that I had to wait for them to cook were fresh and hot.
I went to go steal some chicken stars from my kids... they were jalepeno poppers. Well the kids aren't eating those! I ate one. Mildly warm. The rest went into the trash.
Called it quits and reminded myself why we don't get my favorite burger joint. This location doesn't care.
For those who enjoy carls jr, we don't mind waiting longer (or getting told to park it), we don't mind paying a little more, we just want our food hot and cooked well. I really, sincerely, hope that you guys go to this location and see what you can do to help them. I love carls jr, but the few times a year I go, it's always a disappointment. I guess I'll try again in another 6 months and see if management had stepped in.
My suggestion: drive to boise. The 2 carls Jr's there are consistently better and you won't waste money on food...
Read moreI am an ex-employer, when I first started working there i had good hours everyone was nice, but over time things started to get weird my hours were cut and i would ask my manger for hours, but she said it was too slow for labor hours. So i asked one of my coworkers while i was working and he said that the manger told him that she didn't want me working the hours she scheduled me. Many times when i would work i couldn't understand her and many times she did not know the words to use and very much so ended up in misunderstanding and me having to take the blame for not understanding. On my third day of working my Manger yelled at me for the cash register not working and letting a 5 dollar meal not get recorded. Other times when she made me work a 9-4 i would work only work for 30 minutes then have a lunch break at 9:30 in the morning resulting in not actually having a lunch and not enough energy to get through the day. Many times when i texted her about situations i would get left on delivered for a day or two. I've told her the days i was busy and i got scheduled so i had to leave my personal duties for work, on the weekends she would schedule me to work 1-4, but many times those were slow hours or filler hours for someone else, other instances i would get sent home and only worked for an hour and a half. Later i put in my two weeks, i worked maybe 2 or 3 times during that but on one of my days i was sick i lost my voice and had a mild fever, my coworkers sent me home. I texted my boss i couldn't work those days, i didn't get any reply. The next day i was removed from group chats. Couple days later she texted me that she was ready to give me my check. I was basically fired from calling in sick during my two...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. We go here about once a month. We used to love it. Over the last few months it has gone downhill. The staff is rude to customers, trash is on the floors, tables are sticky and all over the place (I believe people eating there should have some responsibility and pick up after themselves. It is disgusting the slovenly ways people leave it). The last three times there has been trash, soda, dry sauce, and who knows what all over where the soda dispensers are. Tonight it was a mess. Only two working the front counter and drive in. Three staff on the cook line. They messed up my husband's order, even though it was read back to us how it had been ordered by us. The ladies working the front counter got lippy about fixing it. Wrong burger completely, yes he wants what he ordered in the first place, why is that hard to understand? The back door was wide open and family members of those working kept popping their heads in. The back door goes into the kitchen. The kitchen had burger wrappers on the floor, as well as bags buns come in. Our wait was 30 minutes. It was not slammed with customers in the store or the drive thru. I would call it pretty normal. Multiple customers went to the counter to inquire on what was taking so long. When we got home we discovered they had messed up our youngest son's order. It was for 6 chicken stars, it only had four in it. We spent over $40 there tonight, were treated very poorly, left disappointed in the service, and then discovered the kid's meal was wrong. Management needs to be replaced. Communication on the kitchen floor to front is practically zilch unless the gals in front were yelling at the cooks. This location won't flourish if...
