Here is how my phone order went. Employee - "Thank you for calling Papa Murphy's. This is (Name withheld to protect the ignorant. We will just call him PM for the rest of this.) can I help you?" (Points for being pleasant and professional. Really made me feel like this was going to be easy and good.) Me - "Yes, I would like to order a gluten free pizza. Do you only make that in one size?" PM - "No, we can make any pizza gluten free!" Me - "Great, I would like a large." PM - "We only make the gluten free in medium. Would you like a large pizza?" Me - "No, it has to be gluten free. PM - "Would you be interested in a 1/2 price pizza?" Me - "Yes, I would like a 1/2 price gluten free pizza." PM - "We do not offer 1/2 for gluten free pizza. Would you like a regular pizza?" Me - "No, the price of the emergency room visit from eating regular pizza would not be worth the savings. I want to order a gluten free pizza." PM - (Finally gets that I want to order a gluten free pizza.) "What would you like on it?" (Now we are getting somewhere! There is hope I may actually get to order what I want!) Me - "Is it possible to order this pizza with 1/2 having Canadian bacon, pineapple, and jalapenos and the other half as a combination?" PM - "Yes, we can do that." Me - "Great, that is what I want." PM - "I'm sorry we can not do that. We can not put a combo on one half." Me - "Can you make the entire pizza with Canadian Bacon, jalapenos, and pineapple?" PM - "Yes, we can do that, but we can't make one half a combo." Me - "Okay, make that pizza." PM - "Okay we have one medium gluten free pizza with Canadian bacon, jalapenos, and pineapple. Would you like anything else?" Me - (Very concerned that more items may overwhelm him.) "No, just the pizza." PM - "Okay, we will make that , thank you, bye." Me - "Wait!" PM - "yes?" Me - "Am I just supposed to walk in and yell out my order? How will you know my pizza from the other orders?" PM - "Oh, yeah, do you have a phone number?" (He takes my number and name.) Me - "Can I pay with a debit card?" PM - "No you have to come in." Me - "Is it possible for you to give me an estimate of how long this will take you?" PM - "10 minutes." Me - "Ok." (My girlfriend picked up the pizza. Because I immediately started drinking after i hung up.) They really have good gluten free pizza. It is the only reason that I did not hang up and go get Thai food at Thailand Express. English may be the second language at Thailand Express, but they are much easier to communicate with and the food is much better. If they start making a gluten free pizza I will never call Papa...
Read moreI ordered two pizzas this morning at 9:15 am. I paid doordash to pick up and deliver the pizzas to my home. At 12:58 pm I was contacted by the DoorDash delivery driver and papa Murphy’s told the driver that my order is in the system but they were unable to locate my order anywhere in the store. Also I was told that it would be another hour and a half wait. I got off the phone with the DoorDash driver and contacted papa Murphy’s an employee by the name of Conner answered the phone. I proceeded to tell Conner why I was calling and he word for word said “What do you want us to do about it” in a condescending and sarcastic tone and said it to me twice. I was in shock that an employee would speak to me that way and be so rude over me just calling and trying to get an answer as to what’s going on. I asked if he was the manager he said no he isn’t the manager so I asked to speak to one. Conner then tells me that the manager will not come to the phone. I then asked to speak to someone else because Conner was being rude. He then starts to laugh at me on the phone. Another employee got on the phone to which I could not understand what he said his name was. I explained to him what was going on he told me he was a new employee. This employee told me that my DoorDash driver would wait for an hour and a half for my order which is absolutely not true. My DoorDash driver even told me they would not wait for that long for my order to be ready. I asked to speak to a manager again and I could hear this employee telling the manager that a customer wanted to speak to them. I then heard the manager say “ Im too busy I’m not coming to the phone”. At this point the employee who I was on the phone with lays down the phone and refuses to speak to me or reply again. I waited about a minute and during this time I was saying hello to get his attention and I could hear them in the back chatting and ignoring me on purpose. I ended up having to hang up because no one would answer me. I then had to contact DoorDash customer service to figure out how to get the order cancelled and receive a refund. Read moreI've never posted a negative review on any business, but I'm making an exception. I've frequently been a customer at this location for several years, actually since it first opened. I've noticed quite a decline in the quality of the business itself in the last year. I don't know if it's the management or the employees, which I totally don't believe it's the latter. Evidently, this location is unable to staff adequate employees for anticipated "busy days" or the manager is very lacking in their staffing abilities. I ordered a pizza online at least 30 minutes before I was to pick it up. Upon arriving, they were just making the order. I waited at least 20 minutes as customers were coming and going. There was a "skeleton crew" of 2 employees trying to accommodate a mass of customers coming through the door, meaning 2 employees up front making pizzas and 2 in back doing side work. The employee trying to help customers was rather overwhelmed by making pizzas and waiting on customers. This apparently is the fault of the manager, who should have been in there helping. Your prices have increased, which is understandable, but the quality has decreased. Apparently you need to take a closer look at the manager of this location. If the staffing was this low, he should have had his own "backside" in there helping these kids out.
