Great craft beer selection with 25 beers on tap. I've coming here since they opened and they have always done a stellar job of providing a wide variety of craft beer styles. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are happy to help you find the beer, or cider, you're looking for. They don't serve food, but if you walk next door to Messenger Pizza they'll gladly walk it over when it's gone. Small town vibe, delicious craft beers, dog friendly, and welcoming environment will keep me coming back. Look for Bialy while you're there... she loves pizza. Update: love this place. Happy 7th guys!

I'm sad to say that this is now the one and only pre funk in the treasure valley but on a positive note it is in a great location in canyon county and the people out here are much more friendly than the typical down town Boise crowd. Parking can be difficult but there are some secret spots the locals will turn you onto if you play your cards right 😉

A non typical beer joint for our community. I've been around long enough to know when I am not welcome. I'm an IPA kinda guy so If you know anything about them, it's always good to ask a few questions about their offerings. They offered a Sockeye IPA special, so I asked about it. The young man behind the bar had no idea what the beer was like. Ok no problem.. light, hazy, citricy.., can I try a sample? ..."no". Ok I get it, a place could be busy and they have no time, but hey, I was one of 6 people there, 4 of us and two others. The first thing in customer service is .. "hey, how is it going?" But no.it was ."read the sign". . I've been in this state for 16 years, always great service in local bars. not here.at least I tried.. .. Go next door, that's a great...

There's never a chance of going wrong when you go to Prefunk. You want variety, boom...done. You want pints from local breweries or hard to get brews; it's there. What to eat and drink your goblets of delicious ales? Grab a slice next door (or bring in food from anywhere) and pull up a bar stool. Being a craft beer lover, I'd like to say the beer is the best part of the establishment. It only comes 2nd to the amazing owners and staff. I've dropped in during Brewery nights where a brewery is showcasing their ales, nights of live or dj'ed vinyl music, trivia, and nights of great banter at the bar, and they're all part of the great place I call home...
