Wheeler's Handout — Restaurant in Nampa

Stopped there for my first time today, around 4pm before the "dinner rush". I ordered the fried pickles, and the kids cheeseburger combo with fries, and I didn't have my son with me, but figured I'd order him something special, so I got the root beer float. Luckily we live right down the road, because every time I'd go over a small bump, more root beer would trickle out, lol... so I just tried to go slow and be super duper careful. (I had already asked if they had any bubble tops, they said no, so that might be something the business could look into if they present all their floats and shakes like this?) I really wanted to like this place, as I've been driving past it every day for the past year we've lived in the neighborhood, and I'd rather support a local family biz than always go the cheap easy burger joints, but we were pretty disappointed. Unfortunately my son's burger was burned (although he is used to McDonald's double cheeseburgers, lol so I think he just doesn't appreciate the char that comes with a real grilled burger perhaps?? Unfortunately, I still feel like even Burger King's burgers are better, and the buns aren't soggy like this one was). Also, glad I didn't go with the medium fries like I originally wanted. The fries were overcooked and bland. :( The texture was great though! And looking at other pics on here they don't look overcooked, so I probably just came at a bad time? I tried to fix them up by sprinkling some johnny salt on them, but definitely didn't help with the burned flavor. :/ The pickle chips were verrrry salty, and batter was a bit undercooked. I think they had potential though! ;) All in all, service was friendly, food was NOT up to par, but my son loved his float! I may give this place another try, depending on if anyone responds to this review, and hope that the food is a much...

This place should be CLOSED DOWN.. I ordered a double patty burger, NO cheese, NO onions. My wife ordered a crispy chicken sandwich with mayonnaise. Mine was a combo with a medium sweet tea and fries. I also asked for some Ranch and Ketchup on the side. I paid for the items and was told to go around to pick up my order. I drove around to the pick up window and waited 15 minutes before my order was brought to me. The bag was closed and I could feel the warmth. We got home in 10 minutes and was excited to try my new meal. WHAT A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. My burger had soggy lettuce and tomatoes on it. Plus they put Cheese on it. No ranch dressing and ketchup on the side. Inside the bag they gave me a small container of French Dressing. Fries were soggy with oil and cold. My wife's Crispy Chicken sandwich consisted of three small chicken tenders on a toasted Hot Dog Bun. NO mayonnaise. DRY. Her sandwich cost $6.00. My burger, drink and fries was over $10.00.

Less than 1 hour later after I ate half of my meal, I was in the bathroom with diarrhea and went back 2 more times. I could get a better meal at Mc Donald's or any other fast food burger restaurant.

If I could rate this place NO Stars, I would. I encourage EVERYONE to completely STAY AWAY. from this place. Which incidentally was established in 1953. Wow. They still can't...

Not great customer service! Decent food. Add on replying to merchant: I am actually a door dasher and I don't know if its because I am a dasher, but I have taken 3 orders from your restaurant and unfortunately I will no longer be accepting any orders from you guys. All 3 times I had stood in front of the door looking at the employees while the look at me and continue with what they are doing. When they finally came to assist me, I was either told i need to be patient because drive thru orders trump door dash orders, or net with attitude and rudeness. I do have to say the 2nd time when I was told to be patient, there was a woman who also worked there that told the girl who had said it to treat me as if I was any other customer, and that when COVID first hit dashers were the only reason a lot of business, them included, could stay in business. I will also be fair and say there is a lot of business who treat dashers unfairly. I admit I was a little unfair with the rating if your food! It's definitely better than decent!
