Ok my neice brought me out here to NAPA an we had lunch here. Now I must say, the food was AMAZING!! HANDS DOWN!! Delicious spagetti pasta an seafood pasta!! Stiff drinks too! Now here was the problem, we literally waited over 45+minutes for our food. While three other party's came in AFTER us ordered and got there food ALL three of them BEFORE US! Of course we complained to the waitress, now she was really nice an apologetic...BUT she didn't know why our food wasn't ready yet. Mind you there were 4 of us..2 had seafood pasta, me an my neice spaghetti. They clearly wasn't short staffed...our order jus got pushed back...hummmm...was it cause we're black??? I mos definitely don't like playing the race card..but I really don't think these people were racist. The manager told us it was a miscommunication in the kitchen (due to English as a second language??) hummmm......sure...well the manager was kind enough to take a meal off plus ALL 3 DRINKS!! So that was Kool. Like I said the food was AMAZING... waitress was so sweet an nice, but them cooks??? Hummmm.... Manager was clearly nervous! As she should be! As I left I gave the waitress a nice tip an hugged her an told her it wasn't her fault...an I'm a KNOWN GOOGLE BLOGGER ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š...with close to 200,000 reviews that are read๐Ÿ˜Š... going forward you never know who your serving an customers are ALWAYS 1ST an sometimes right!

Alright, pizza lovers and pasta fiends, listen up! I just had an absolute feast at Filippi's Pizza Grotto that's left me in a state of pure, unadulterated food bliss. We went for the combination plates and let me tell you, it was the best decision we made all week. Getting to dig into generous portions of lasagna and meat ravioli, and my wife getting lasagna and spaghetti all on one plate was like hitting the Italian food jackpot. Each one was perfectly cooked and bursting with that classic, comforting flavor you crave. But the real showstopper? The meatball. Oh my goodness, the meatball! Forget everything you thought you knew about meatballs. This wasn't just big; it was bigger than a softball! I'm talking about a glorious, perfectly seasoned sphere of meaty perfection that could probably have its own zip code. It was a true masterpiece and the highlight of an already incredible meal. We absolutely loved every single bite and left with happy hearts and very full bellies. We'll definitely be returning to Filippi's. If you're looking for fantastic Italian comfort food, generous portions, and a meatball that will blow your mind, this is the place!

We visited on a Sunday for lunch. They didn't have a parking lot, but only street parking. Like most places in Napa, you just find somewhere nearby to park and you walk to your destination. They have a few dining areas inside and a few tables outside in front of the restaurant. The day we were there, they only had 2 servers for the whole restaurant, so they really weren't seating outside. The servers were really hustling trying to get to all the customers as quickly as possible. We were not in a hurry, so it was fine. They were really busy. We ordered the Italian Feast for 2. It was $30.95 plus tax for an 11 inch cheese pizza, 2 salads, Italian bread, lasagna, and spaghetti. If you are feeding kids or people with smaller appetites, you could probably feed 3-4 people with this meal. The salads were fresh and the pizza and pastas were cooked nicely. I was expecting a crusty bread for the Italian bread, but it had more of a roll texture. The decor included wine bottles hanging from the ceiling and red-checkered table cloths.

The Good: The entrees were delicious and the portions were generous for the price. We had lasagna and ravioli. I usually don't much care for lasagna unless I make it at home, but this was really good and i would definitely order again.

The Bad: We paid almost $6 for a Caesar side salad. It was most definitely not a $6 salad that was presented to us. It was truly nothing special....in fact we threw it away. I could see it as a $3 add-on, maybe.

Our order was a take-out and was supposed to include bread, but when we got back to our hotel, there was no bread.

The Ugly: when i called to let them know they left out the bread they made no apology but just told me i could come back and get the bread. By then, the rest of our meal would have been cold. So i asked instead for a partial refund to cover the bread. They refused, told me there was no cost to the bread, it was free. I tried explaining the difference between something that is free and something that is included with the cost we paid for the meal, but i got nowhere. In my opinion, the bread is a significant part of an Italian meal. And customer service in making it right when there is a mistake, or at the very least a sincere apology, is even more important. A $3 refund would have totally changed my opinion on the entire experience, but the restaurant seemed unconcerned. And surely....if that nondescript salad was worth $6, a delicious loaf of Italian bread is worth $3. So if this were about only the taste, quality and portion of food, it would be a 4 or 5 star review (4 only because of that salad) but the nonchalant attitude and refusal to adequately fix their mistake speaks more to me than the...

We have been going here for years even before our daughters were born. When I was pregnant with my first it was one thing I craved was Italian food. And Filippis is very family oriented. We generally go every Friday night and if we don't go in then we usually get take out especially during the pandemic and we are not allowed the restaurant. They make us feel like family and we had pretty much every waiter there. Of course we have our favorites but everyone is generally so nice and our orders come out correct and if they do not then they will always make it right. It is one of our daughter's favorite places to eat. She has never been a big pasta girl but she absolutely loves their meatball. And I say meatball because one meatball will feed both our daughters for two to three days as their protein because they are the size of a softball. They will double cut the pizza for kids since their normal pieces are huge. They don't have a kids menu but you can get half sizes of spaghetti it is still a ton of pasta though. But I always love pasta for leftovers. I usually get Tom's favorite sauce on my pasta. It is extra over the marinara or meat or Alfredo sauce. My husband gets pizza or even the chefs salad. If you go for lunch you can get pizza by the slice but only at lunch. The meal for 2 is so worth it with two salads or soups, a small cheese pizza, two half sizes of pasta and bread. And we have done that on occasion but only available Sun-Thurs. It will always be one of...
