I had a birthday party about a week ago and had ordered an ice cream cake online. We had our party at a place so my husband went to pick up the cake at the time we said we would pick it up. At first they couldn't find our cake, but once they did it was driven back which took about 5 minutes. My husband was back with the cake at 1:15 we sang happy birthday (the candle wouldn't push into the cake) at 1:30 when we went to cut the cake it was completly hard. 3 people tried to cut this cake, 2 of which were men, giving it their all, we could only get a few slivers off. At 1:45 they were able to finally get two pieces off wich were still hard people couldn't even get their forks in it to eat. At 2:00 when our party time was up the ice cream on the cake was melting, but the cake part was still hard. I called and complained that I had wasted almost $40 on a cake that no one was able to eat. The employees said that they couldn't do anything and we had to call the manager the next morning. We live in Joliet so by the time the cake got to our house it was just a big sticky mess. I called the manager the next day and said that after about 35 minutes of it sitting out we were still unable to cut through the cake. He didn't care and said he couldn't do anything without the cake. I told him that we were told to call the next day and the cake had to be thrown out. I will never go back to this Dunkin Donuts again, we have had 3 ice cream cakes before from other Baskin Robins and have never had this problem. It was a complete...
Read moreI come here often, as I work just down the block. It's not the best Dunkin, but it's definitely not the worst. The atmosphere isn't conducive for relaxing and just enjoying a cup of coffee, but I'm usually just in and out with these types of things. Busy busy me. Anyways, they don't make mistakes often, so that's good. I like the employees, but I'm generally forgiving as I've had plenty of experience in fast food and understand how it goes. The biggest qualm I have about this place is exiting the parking lot during rush hour. Idiots don't know how to use two lanes on the way out. People being afraid to turn, and who can blame them honestly. People don't know how to drive, people are on their phone, people are tired, people are greedy, people are...people.
I like this dunkin, and have established somewhat of a repitore with them. I shall continue to frequent this establiment, for it is mostly convenient except for the parking lot.
I'm sorry, but I have no abhorrent stories to share about how this place is the worst place in the world. Like literally the entire world. There are definitely worse places than this.
Have a nice day! I hope you enjoyed my review! You can find some of my other reviews if you look hard enough. My predictive texting is acting up so if this review is crazy and not making sense, it's Google keyboard's...
Read moreI went through the drive-through at this location, just before 10:00 am, and purchased a medium Oreo milkshake. It cost me $6.50. I even tipped a dollar because I know milkshakes are somewhat labor intensive compared to the other drinks. What I received was runny, and had a foamy head. Similar to a poorly poured tap beer. Milkshakes don't have a foamy head on them unless an untraditional ingredient has been added. I made this purchase while on my way to a job site.By the time I finished 3/4 of it, it still had a foamy head on it. This is the second time I've had this experience at a Dunkin/Baskin Robbins store. The first time, at the store on Ogden Ave. in Lisle, they had put ice in the shake. On my way to work, I turned around and drove another ten minutes back to the place of purchase. I complained to the manager who, in turn, consulted the employee who made my shake. They were speaking mostly Indian language, but I thought I heard a reference to liquid sugar. At that point the manger offered to make me a SMALL, since I drank most of it. By this time I was Fed up, as well as now late for work. I left. Very unsatisfied with...
