Portillo's & Barnelli's Naperville — Restaurant in Naperville

The service was terrible. We waited over 20 min for our food and everyone after me received their food before I did. I waited a few min longer before asking what was going on and they had my food off to the side and the guy looked at number and just handed me my bag. I had a shake as well that I had to go back up and ask for and it was just sitting there separate from everything. It was completely melted. The soup was not even filled up. Every other before and after mine was spoken over the speaker so what happened with mine that I had to wait over 20 min and then ask for it as it was sitting off to the side like it was forgotten. Then the employees were obnoxious. They are either over staffed and have nothing to do or they just don't know what to do but there were 2 employees at 4 separate times one after the other that came into the section that I was in, we were the only people in that section the whole time but one would walk in holding a spray bottle and rag look walk away then here comes other one same thing 4 times and not one time did they do anything but stare at the wall or table and walk away. The whole time I was there those employees kept walking back and forth as if they were lost holding spray and rag. It's hard to explain the situation in the words I guess you had to be there to see for yourself. Like you're not going to scoot a chair in that hasn't even been moved to make it look like you're doing something when you're not. I was just upset at the fact that I waited so long for such a small order to have to go up there and my bag has been sitting there the whole time and I stood there the whole time they never called my number and then to have to go back and ask for my shake that was sitting off to the side completely melted but because of the service that I already experienced how busy they were because they obviously couldn't get through without messing things up I was not going back up there to ask for another one I ended up not even finishing my food and leaving. I've never really had a bad experience at a portillo's before my family and I go to portillo's quite often and this is our first time at this location and never again...

Portillo’s Hot Dogs is a fine establishment and has served great food, which is why I had to continued coming to this restaurant in the past. However I will not be going again because one very disappointing factor about this establishment is its’ service. The staff is usually kind however there are two staff members that were truly despicable and unprofessional. The First Gentleman was an African American man at the online pickup area. We went to pickup our order and he told us that he had no idea what our order was and whether or not it had even been made. So I showed him the proof of my order on my phone and he told me the same thing again. After that we went and talked to a middle aged man who spoke with an accent and wore glasses(possibly the manager of this portillos) who told me that it wasn’t his job to help me with my order and said some disgusting remarks to me regarding my race thinking that it was some funny joke and that I wouldn’t understand. At that point I decided to walk away. And while I was forced to keep waiting, the African American gentleman as well as the middle aged man with glasses began mocking us(me and my sister) and laughing at us behind the counter at the pickup area. At first I just looked away, then I realized they just kept looking at us and laughing and the moment I looked over, they quickly walked away and went back to work. What I experienced at this restaurant was nothing but disappointment and embarrassment. So my advice to all of you is to avoid this specific location because they clearly don’t like certain “kinds of people” as I was told. As terrible as these two gentlemen were there other staff members were quite kind and respectful as they had been, but in every society there are those who choose to treat others with prejudice and mockery. The Naperville Portillo's was one of the worst Portillo's I've ever gone to before never again will I ever eat there again the food was sloppy prepared terribly instruction wasn't followed portions on a beef cheddar croissant was ridiculous strings of cheese the crew members really didn't care it was getting close to closing time and we would serve slop food although I was refunded back from my chicken sandwich because I was highly outraged with the service and the fact the way the order was taken was started out good but at the end to push out the food it was just trifling slot never before the years that I work for Portillo's would we have ever served a customer that type of style of food like that it was just slop you all are not training your employees properly I've gone to so many Portillo's throughout the years I've lived here in Illinois and I've worked several of them if needed but like I said never in my entire days of Portillo's that the service and the sloppiness of the food was just totally very disrespectful uncaring if they would have asked questions instead of taking upon their own to fix the make the food the way they wanted and if you already explained it to the cashier how you wanted your food not based on the person that's making it to have 40 years of experience in the restaurant today's younger generation have no courtesy morals and some of them don't even care how they serve your food it takes strong leadership to keep those of the millennial generation in order not equally to them but like I said again that was the worst disgusting service and food that I ever had at any Portillo's but I would never...
