The Matrix Room Restaurant & Meg's Lounge — Restaurant in Naperville

The Matrix Room is an awesome experience to go in and dine.

When we first arrived, my family was a little hesitant due to the fact the restaurant is located in the left of this large retail space. We got a little lost inside at first because there are multiple businesses like a yoga studio, a conference area, and other additional studios/business. It has a feel like a hub / aiming for a membership type of experience that includes that sort of lifestyle.

Once you get past the exterior and lounge / lobby area the restaurant is open with high ceilings, table clothed tables, and a stage where bands and live performance occurs. When we went (early Saturday evening) there were no bands scheduled specifically for this day, however, check their facebook and website for tours, because they have a rotating schedule. Additionally, when it does happen they're able to change the dining room into a dance floor if need be.

Regarding the food, Chef Al and Chef Mike knocked it out of the park. Little bits and pieces of different culinary and cultures blended on the menu.

Our server Lucy was attentive along with the Manager. Chef Al also came to our table and gave us a brief overview of his menu.

Food wise we started off with the Samosas, the pumpkin and whipped feta bruschetta, and the broccoli soup. The pumpkin whipped feta came out first. When you think of bruschetta you think of mini toasts, however these were 3 loaded toasts with delicious pumpkin feta. The dried prosciutto added a surprising layer of texture.

Chef Al also complimentarily gifted a korean fried chicken with korean style fried rice (my wifes favorite) This wasn't on our menu, but located on the bar menu. Which probably suggests additional hidden food gems in their menus.

we were full by the time our entress came out which were the branzino and eggplant. I can speak for the Eggplant which is a huge eggplant with marina sauce and cheese, had to take it home for leftovers. My wifes branzino was basically gone by the time i looked over.

This was an absolutely horrible experience for my birthday brunch celebration. We had a group of 10 and there was only one other table in use at this large restaurant. That should have been the sign to go somewhere else

We were quickly seated but it took almost 30 minutes for them to get our drink orders and it took another 30 minutes for the drinks to arrive.

We had been there for 1 1/2 hours and had no appetizers or any food. At this point, we were the only ones in the restaurant. I had to speak very loudly to get the one person who was serving our table to come over for water refills and let them know that if we didn't receive something, we were leaving.

Minutes later our food started coming out including our appetizers. The food was decent but the very long wait ruined the experience. Also there was no apology, discounts on the bill, nothing for the inconvenience.

I had to request they remove the automatic 20% gratuity from the bill. That audacity to think we were tipping 20% after this experience.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting my son's Bar Mitzvah at the Matrix Club, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience! From the very beginning, the communication with the venue was fantastic. They made everything so easy to plan and ensured all our needs were met.

We were in Meg's Lounge, which was the perfect space for our group of 90. The room itself is beautiful, and the lighting options helped set the perfect ambiance for the event. Additionally, the AV options they offer in-house were a great bonus and made everything run smoothly.

But the real highlight of the day was the food—absolutely A-list! From the fresh, delicious salad to the mouth-watering main entrees, appetizers, and dessert, every bite was amazing. My guests were beyond impressed with the quality and variety of the dishes. The catering truly exceeded expectations.

Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better venue or service for my son's Bar Mitzvah. The Matrix Club delivered an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic...
