Where do I begin? I ordered 5 birria tacos and somehow ate 25. You can tell that they take their time making their food and no matter how many people they serve in a day, the quality never goes down. The consommé is absolutely perfect, the portions are generous, and I’m sorry but the birria tacos were just sooooooo GOOD! I mean DANGEROUSLY delectable, I’m talking tactfully tasteful, PRECIOUSLY PALATABLE if you will. One singular tear fell from my right eye after my first bite and a mental projection of my inner child’s happiest moments played back in a montage in front of me. Among the best tacos I've ever had! Shopping at International Market too close to lunchtime, I was glad to stop for Birria Tacos (shredded beef, soft cheese, onions, and cilantro), which included a mouthwatering spiced beef broth dip and green tomatillo salsa. The spice level is mild, just enough for a little warmth. On Taco Tuesday, it is buy 2 get 1 free. Now, I want to try the whole menu, because those tacos were amazing. And the Baklava is lovely - flaky without falling apart, with syrup lightly amended with rosewater. Selections also include shwarma, falafel, hummus, and a $0.99 lentil soup (that looks delicious). First off, food was excellent! We all ordered shwarma, two chicken and one regular. The flavors were full and the meat was freshly cooked. We had a side of fries and they came out super hot and crispy. The garlic sauce is potent and earthy. It is a little confusing on how to order as it is not clear on how the ordering process works. Walk up to the Square Terminal and person working nearest the checkouts, they will get you set up. They have a tasty horchata drink as well but the mango drink was meh. Being that it is in a grocery store, it is kind of loud and bustling but we were not looking for fine dining, just the best shwarma around....
