The Monk's — Restaurant in Naperville

Since it’s opening we have been venturing food from this place on average every few weeks. To begin with, the food quality was great with a taste close to roadside Chinese in India. And, it prompted word of mouth marketing to my extended fam and friends with a disclaimer that food delivery takes longer.

In recent times, I started to receive more than handful of my references saying that food quality has dipped. To which, I ordered for a visiting fam who loves this kinda food and to our utter surprise it was a disaster experience. Of the 7 diff items, lollipops stood out and rest were great in the early days, but turned out utter disappointment.

Due to above experience, we will not be venturing food from this place anymore as there is no improvement in time for food delivery.

I wish I could write this with not having to even give one star. Whether it is the ordering process or service or the quality of the food from there, it was terrible and beyond anything that appeared to be even close to being ok. A very bad experience for us. The “veg” option exists in the menu, but do not expect to find any vegetables in any of the dishes even if you search with a magnifying glass. Hopeless place. There was absolutely no interest in the face or mind or effort to serve their customers. Tried to give an allowance that it was their first week for the service part, but our assessment turned to have been spot on when we opened the boxes and found unpalatable garbage in the name of food in each of the boxes. Please do yourself a favor and get food from the other places who take the business and service seriously.

We went opening night. When we asked what the wait was before ordering they told about 30 mins. After an hour of waiting we asked for an update and they said 2 more minute. After another 30 mins we asked for refund and they refused to give and said they the food was almost ready. They clearly were accepting more orders than they could keep up with, were understaffed, and the quality wasn't that great. If I'm going to wait 2.5 hours for Momo's and chinese bhel I'd rather go to some place I actually enjoy and can dine in. There were 20 people still waiting for food at 9 pm that they had ordered around 6:30-7pm. It's an unreasonable amount of time to wait weather it first day open or you've been open for months. Once the mall is open I'd be willing to give another chance but as of now I'd rather go to Honest or...
