Genuinely the worst service experience I have ever had with my group.
My group and I walked in to the Naples Aurelio's on a Wednesday evening before the dinner rush, perhaps 6 seated tables inside at the time, the hostess sat us quickly in a table large enough for the group without issue or latency, however that is where the typical experience ended.
After being seated, we waited 20+ minutes with no one coming to the table, at which time by bother went up to ask the hostess what was going on, he noted she was text-messaging on her phone at the podium and was taken aback when he approached -- he made her aware that we had not yet been tended to and she immediately and without acknowledgement walked off to the rear of the restaurant presumably to let the waitperson know of the issue.
about 5 minutes after that, our waitress shows up at the table stating simply "welcome, no one told me you guys were here!" and asked for drink orders. We gave her drink orders and orders for two pizzas as we had plenty of time to peruse the menu.
Drinks came out in relatively short time, however it was 15+ minutes after that we next saw our waitress, at which time several of us were dry on drinks. several asked the waitress for new beverages, however one of my group mates had ordered a soft drink with complimentary refills and the entire hour and a half at the restaurant, the waitress failed to ask, notice or acknowledge the empty glass visible on the edge of the table.
the pizza arrived roughly 40 minutes later, it was OK but nothing exceptional. Domino's delivery grade pizza at a higher price Id say.
After being given the ticket with no acknowledgement of issue, I directly told the waitress how disappointed we were with the service, and it had genuinely been the worse we'd ever experienced anywhere to which she apologized "I'm sorry to hear that!". She ran the card, no compensation, no manager visit.. No attempt to remedy the situation.
I would not recommend this establishment and will not be back for any reason, nor with others in my party that had been...
Read moreFirst of all, the service was excellent (thanks Haley). However, there is no comparison between this corporate-managed Aurelio's at Coastland Center Mall and the Aurelio's franchise restaurant that operated in Naples on 9th Street N. during 2000-2010. We used to LOVE going to Aurelio's back in the day. The ingredients were fresh, the crust was thin and crisp and the cheese spilled out over margins of every pie. Most of all, the atmosphere was completely authentic. The restaurant had character. It was fun. Families with babies/toddlers were given Aurelio's t-shirts and when the family took a picture of the child in the t-shirt and brought it back in, it was hung on the wall of the restaurant. Guess what? Those families (including ours) came back - over and over and over again. In between the bar and main dining room there was a small arcade for the older kids (of all ages) and the owner walked around to each table to make sure his guests were satisfied. Now, fast-forward to 2022. Tonight we had tickets to see a movie at the Coastland CMX theater so we thought we'd dine at the relocated Aurelio's next to the theater at the mall. Unfortunately, and much to our dismay, we probably would have enjoyed grabbing some quick grub at the food court more than the $47 "dining experience" at Aurelio's. In fact, a simple frozen pizza at home would have been better. If you take pizza seriously then save your time and money. Go to "A-REAL" pizzaria or just throw one in the oven at home instead of going to...
Read moreBeen on my list to try this place. It is a beautiful and spacious restaurant. It has a classic layout with the long bar and private booths, great setting for a date. Plenty of tables for a big family or gathering. Ordered the chicken wings and a pizza. Wings were great, good sized and delicious, ordered with sweet chili. First time I have ever tried their pizza so I ordered pepperoni and sausage, to get a good base. Absolutely Awesome, great taste, the crust was nice and crispy but not burnt, still had a flakey body. The sauce and cheese ratio was perfect. Well balanced amount of toppings, not too light, not over bearing. Service was great, very attentive. Will definitely be returning.
You get what you pay for. The food, atmosphere and service is great. I ordered cheese sticks, wings, sodas and a medium pizza. For 2 people I paid $70 including the tip. It's not cheap but the overall quality is worth it. I definitely do recommend it. Remember, tell'em...
