FANTASIA was awesome. All the waitresses were nice which made me feel better because when we entered I did NOT feel welcomed. No one said hi, weLcome , just stared as we read the sign that said seat yourself. The tables are HUGE. German style, any who it was a great experience, I am a form believer in trying different things. I came in thinking/comparing the food to a Irish pub I frequent which have bangers and hash (my fave) this place had sausages but was not at all to be compared I mean other than using beer in everything lol. Ultimately my husband said to get the Irish notion out of your head this is German. So he orders an appetizer can't remember the name but it WAS THE BOMB they were like thick egg rolls with sauerkraut in it and you dip it in thousand islands dressing it was great and fresh would even eat it as a meal. For my entree I got curry sausage I tasted the German potato salad was not a fan at all, however, I have it a try, it has more of a vinegar, tang to it, it's not mixed in mayo as I expected. So then I went with a side of potatoes and gravy. Had them put the gravy on the side it was okay the gravy was way too thick and for me, I can definitely taste the flavor or the beer infusion so I didn't use too much of the gravy I kind of just dipped my sausage in it and then dipped it inside of the potatoes and ate it as so overall I would definitely get the sausage again maybe a vegetable as a side versus the potato options. My husband had a brat Burger which of course was infused with beer as well and it was pretty good I was trying to trade with him. But overall we had a great experience and would go back again our bill was a little bit pricey however when you are trying new things the price is expected to be high. Across-the-board it was a great...
Read moreWhat a fun spot! We ate here with a group of 9, out on the patio. While we aren’t German we do try to seek German restaurants out everywhere we visit. My husband was born in Germany. I lived there for 10 years, graduating high school there and that’s where we met. My mom and his mom and dad both were stationed in Germany. Because of this we love German food! We sampled a variety of things and would recommend every single one! The Brötchen basket is a must. It was like we were at a real German bakery. The giant pretzel and regular pretzel were amazing. Get the cheese and the mustard sauces for sure. The Reuben rolls, sauerkraut, Käse Spätzle (this is more of a Mac and cheese than traditional but delicious. If you want more traditional try the plain Spätzle) schnitzel pork and chicken, potato salad, and German chocolate cake were all delicious! I got curry ketchup for my fries that was so good!
Our waitress Adrian was so great! We ordered, added things, ordered some more, had some late additions to the group. She never faltered once. Professional and friendly and never made of feel like a bother even though we couldn’t get it together!
They also have a store with lots of merch and a hall that has the poster from every Oktoberfest! My mom found the year she had went when I was a baby and I found the year I went in high school super cool!!
Anyway don’t pass this place up! I wish we had taken pictures of the food but we were too obsessed with eating it...
Read moreWalking into the Bavarian Bierhaus instantly transported me back to my years living in Düsseldorf (2002–2007). It’s rare to find a place in the U.S. that so authentically captures the spirit of Germany, but this spot nails it.
From the authentic marketplace with real German snacks, goodies, and knickknacks, to the signage with classic German phrases, the long wooden picnic tables, the traditional server outfits, and of course the legendary beers, every detail feels spot-on. The entire atmosphere carries that festive Bavarian energy that makes you want to stay all night.
The food was outstanding. I had the currywurst—the sausage and fries were cooked to perfection, exactly how I remember it in Germany. We shared some Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes) at the table, and they were deliciously crispy and comforting. Lauren ordered the chicken schnitzel, and it was equally fantastic—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor.
But the highlight for me? I had my first bite since high school of Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (Black Forest Cake). One bite and I was transported right back to Germany—layers of chocolate, cream, cherries, and nostalgia all in one. Absolutely unforgettable.
Bavarian Bierhaus doesn’t just serve German food and beer—it recreates the experience of Germany. For anyone who loves authentic culture, cuisine, and a true taste of Bavaria, this is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be bringing friends with...
