So let’s start with the entrance. Everything good , not busy. Get sat and they take our drink order. Everything fine. 8 minutes later, the waiter brings us our waters and kids drinks. Almost ok but getting annoyed. Order an appetizer. Wait 12 more minutes. Only keeping track because I’m getting more upset. Watch tables seated after us getting drinks. Mind you we are sitting perpendicularly to the bar. Bartender obviously slow because people getting their drinks were the ones where the waiters and waitresses were getting them themselves. Annoying but forgivable. Appetizers show 6 minutes after I start really tracking. Food good. Real thirsty for a drink l. We place our full orders when the waiter comes back because things aren’t looking promising . Our salads come. No drinks. Finally the waiter realizes that the only way to get us drinks is to do it himself. So thankfully after about 25 minutes at this point , we have drinks. Don’t worry, food is only another minute after that. Things looking up. We order a bottle of wine because we aren’t getting refills of anything else obviously. Get the wine. Eat the food. Things seemingly better. Time to get the checks. Cool easy enough to pay 150 for 2 steaks , 2 drinks and a bottle of cheap wine. Super cool. Until I get the receipt and my credit card is not there. Wife already left with kids thinking I’d only be a minute. Had to call her to double check she didn’t for some insane reason , grab my card. No. Double checked my pockets wallet , the receipt sleeve , everything. Call wife for her to come back. As I’m sitting there busser is just looking at me. She gets to the table and after another few minutes she starts raising her hand like we are kids in elementary school because obviously we aren’t getting attention. After one lady looks through her like her mother was a glass maker, and another looking at us like they were confused , we get someone to talk to us and tell them what’s going on. Original Waiter doesn’t come back. We sit another 4 minutes and I happen to see a manager. Tell him the whole thing. He goes away. The waiter with all the gall comes back and says “wish I had better news but I don’t have the card. “ by this time I’ve set the whole table and dishes us correctly checking every crevice possible for my card. Under the table on the table. Pulling everything out my wallet multiple times just to be told, nope not here. I replied well we can tear apart the restaurant together. He disappeared for another 7 minutes. I’m fuming at this point and finally the manager, not the waiter, comes back and says we found your card on the floor behind you. No sir, there is no way possible you did that. I’ve been sitting here frantically looking for my credit card. He says it was by the table to the right of us after we ask for further explanation. We were sitting by a wall to my right. The manager appears to the front of me, he then claimed it was the table behind us. Like come on. The waiter never showed back up. I don’t know if it was a mistake someone was unwilling to cop to, or if it was a scam trying to steal my credit card thinking I would just up and leave . I’m not sure. No apology, no sympathy. Just claiming the card was behind me or more accurately, “to the right” when we were beside the wall. Wouldn’t go back even if the manager did try to make things right. Buyer beware. Terrible service. Mediocre food , and a manager that will for sure cover for an employee, good on him I guess, but will not take any blame for wasted times or nervous feelings knowing a credit card is lost at no fault of your own. Tl dr, don’t go here, they might try to steal...
Read moreMy family and I visited the Opry Mills mall for back to school shopping. We were hungry so we decided to stop in at the location inside the mall. We arrived at 1150am and were promptly seated. After a few minutes, our waiter, Ashton, came by to get our drink order and at that time we ordered the Pickles and Peppers appetizer. Our drinks and the appetizer arrived in a timely manner, although the appetizer was supposed to be pickles and peppers and we only had 3 peppers in the order. Nevertheless, we ordered our lunch and began the wait. 20 minutes go by, then 30 minutes, then 40 minutes. At that point we asked for some bread. We got the bread and quickly devoured it. We are now at 50 minutes waiting and Ashton asked if we want some more bread. At the 60 minute mark, and two other tables that were seated well after we were, had already ordered, received and were almost done with their meal, my mother in law went to the front to speak with the Manager/host. He came to the table and I told him that we had been waiting for an hour for our food. He didnt give me the impression that he was concerned but told me that he would go check on our order. In the meantime, our food was brought out. Everything looked good until I checked on my food. My food was room temp at best. At this point, another manager approached our table and asked if everything was ok. I let her know that it definitely wasnt ok. She did offer to replace my meal but I told her that I didnt have another hour to wait for a replacement. I asked that she just take my meal off the bill in which she did. After she removed my plate, she brought the bill and showed where she removed my entree from the bill. And for those people that might say, they were probably covered up or my entire table had steaks or things that take a long time to prepare, We had 3 grilled chicken salads, a cheese burger and chicken fried chicken. That was the extent of any interaction with any employee/manager other than running my credit card. Not the kind of experience we expected. Live and learn. Maybe the locations closer to our city...
Read moreMy family and I went to Saltgrass on Saturday the 17th of June, we got there at 11:30am, 30 minutes after they opened. I am a Landry's card holder and presented my card to Brianna our waitress; she welcomed us there and took our order. As with every Landry's restaurant the manager came out to say hello to the card holders, the manager on duty was Nate, he didn't seem to want to say hello, but did in passing. We ordered 2 salmon, 1 country fried steak, and I ordered the 9 ounce filet. The wait was a little longer than it should have been, they were not busy yet, but our food finally arrived. The country fried steak was ok, nothing special, one of the salmon was good the other was small..and I mean very small. Even the other member of management that brought us our food said it was small and that they have another one cooking and will be right out. Why would you even serve something that everyone knows is too small and practically burnt to a crisp? They handed me my steak, a 9 ounce filet that I asked to be cooked medium well, far from it. It was raw inside, ice cold and bloody. Again the lady that brought our food apologized and said that it wasn’t right and that they would take it back and fix it. 10 minutes later, after my family was halfway done eating, my steak came back. Still under cooked, yet with charcoal corners. Our waitress Brianna was very apologetic and informed the manager Nate. He came to the table and told me he was sorry and that he would take the steak off the bill. I informed him that how can you run a steak house if your cooks cannot prepare a steak to the correct temperature? Then I told him about the salmon that should have never been sent out, it was still on the plate as it was burnt. Nate became visible upset and tossed my card onto the table as he stormed off with the bill, didn’t say a word to us. Brianna brought it back a few minutes later, he had removed one of the salmon. Nate's behavior was VERY unprofessional and not the level of service that I have always received at a Landry’s...
