I stopped there while shopping at Opry Mills and the service was not so friendly. I saw people sitting to eat so I waited at the host stand to be sat. I stood there for over 5 mins while workers watched and said nothing. It was another guest who told me I was supposed to just order at a counter. I felt that wasted time could've been avoided had the cashier greeted me instead of being on her phone. Nevertheless, I continued to order since I was a bit short on time. The food tasted really good and was pretty quick! I got a brisket sandwich combo. A day later I returned with my boyfriend, bragging on the food. We came a few hours before closing to order takeout and I got the same meal. When we got home, I noticed my food was not fully cooked. I'm aware it was the fat, but it still was not fully cooked. I'm no stranger to medium cooked meat, but part of my brisket was still raw. When my boyfriend took it back and asked for it to be remade, the manager immediately started talking about how they weren't going to give a refund. We never asked for that. We asked for another sandwich because I was starving at this point. He argued with him that it's just fat before finally taking the same meat off the bun and putting it back on the grill. Completely unsanitary all over. I had already bitten into that uncooked sandwich and he put that same meat back on the grill where other patrons foods' were being cooked. I didn't even eat it after that because I was worried I'd get sick since that's how they handle food. This was extremely disappointing as I liked the food the first time and just wanted what we paid for. It was also disappointing as this business is known to support our armed forces and I'm a military brat. I definitely expected a better standard of food handling and treatment. Even if the fat was cooked to the manager's standard, our request for a longer cooked brisket should've been taken seriously...
Read moreJust got done with dinner and it was immaculate. So a little back story I’m new to Tennessee and my friend from London has constantly been asking me about the food out here and I had yet to try it until Today. Boy did I pick a good place to start. Mission BBQ was amazing. We had Spare Ribs, Salmon, pared with Cornbread, Macaroni & Cheese, Coleslaw, and Green Beans.
The Ribs were AMAZING! The Salmon was melting in my mouth 🤤🤤. Before I get into the sides we need to take a moment of silence for the Cornbread. Why? because it was awesome. The Mac & Cheese was also stellar 🌟. You know we had to get our veggies in and that’s where the coleslaw and green beans came in. They were also really good. I’m not the biggest fan of green beans but I enjoyed theirs. If you’re looking for a place with great food, you’re reading the right review.
The customer service was also exceptional. We had a small concern with our order and the employees handled the situation gracefully. They were more then happy to address the situation and fix it.
There aren’t many places out here that offer such good service so I’m happy that they didn’t overlook the issue. I’ve been hesitant to eat out over here just because of how bad the fast food places are, but I had yet to do a sit down and today changed my views on venturing out and trying new places.
Missions BBQ has definitely set the bar really high, so wherever I try next better be ready. If you’re still contemplating on going there, let this be the end to your doubting. Warm up the car, put your loose jeans on and head over to Mission BBQ, you won’t regret it. I highly recommend this place. Let me know how your experience goes. Enjoy to...
Read moreOkay, 58 years young (yes, I am a child) and a Veteran from Panama, Somalia, Asskrackistan and Iraq. Leg ground pounder and fling-winger of 13 years, active duty. Enough about me and my inability to make sound decisions. This place impressed me from the moment I walked in the door. The young gentleman that took our order was pleasant, courteous and well trained (I appreciate and recognize good training). The ambiance (yup, big word for an 11 Bang Bang) was spot on, tasteful and very well done I thought. The food though was the best part of our visit. From the fries to the brisket to the baked beans it was top notch, top shelf, the cats ass, you pick your own descriptor. It was AMAZING. Now, to be fair, I’m not from here, but I do love visiting Tennessee. Mission BBQ is the best BBQ I’ve had, bar none, hands down. And this I’m not even mentioning the five ton out front. You guys are squared away and are doing it right. Thanks for honoring and supporting all of those that have been to combat and defended what so many of us take for granted. We did/do it for America; the good and the bad (everything is relative and it takes all kinds). Keep up the GREAT work gentleman. I will be back whether it be here at the Opry or one of your...
