Opryland Convention Center- Expo Hall Entrance — Hotel in Nashville-Davidson

I was hired to paint for an important convention in here. Due to construction, many areas were closed off, but the location where I was working at was on the opposite side of the main entrance. I asked a hotel worker if I could park nearby, as I needed to move supplies and also because my daughter has an injury. I was told, ‘Yes, that is fine” (and even got directions how to get there).

To my surprise, after a long day and being almost 10 pm, I found my wheel locked by a device, and hotel security required me to pay $60 to have it removed. The security officer was extremely rude, showing no concern that I was working and staying at the hotel. Instead, he treated me as if I were trespassing or parking illegally. While I was trying to address the situation, he even mocked me, mumbling under his breath and imitating me, which was completely unprofessional.

I approached the hotel manager to explain the situation, hoping she could at least step in to control the rude behavior, but she simply said she ‘couldn’t do anything’—which makes me wonder, why is she the manager then?

Even after I had paid, they made me wait outside in the freezing weather for more than 40 minutes before calling someone to remove the device. The security guard who finally arrived confirmed that he had only been contacted after that long delay, making it clear that they intentionally made me wait just to make my night even worse.

It’s disappointing because this is a beautiful place, but experiences like this—caused by people on a power trip—completely ruin it. This unnecessary mistreatment disrupted my stay, my dinner, and added even more stress to an already difficult situation with my...
