Deep frustration and disappointment following our experience at the Opry Show tonight. What was supposed to be the highlight of our first-ever trip to Nashville turned into an upsetting and humiliating ordeal due to the actions of staff and the false accusations of other guests.
Shortly after the show began, two individuals seated near us were overheard discussing their desire to move to better seats. In an apparent attempt to manipulate the situation, they fabricated a complaint, claiming that my daughter was being disruptive - an outright lie. In reality, she was nearly asleep and had not made a sound.
Shockingly, an usher approached our family and, without speaking to us as her parents first, directly addressed my 7-year-old daughter, accusing her of being too loud. The usher’s tone was rude and inappropriate. She also condescendingly told us, “People pay good money for these seats,” implying that we had not done the same - despite the fact that we purchased our tickets months in advance and spent over $200.
There were no other complaints, no disruption caused, and witnesses in our row were visibly confused and disturbed by what took place. My daughter was mortified and burst into tears. She was so shaken and embarrassed by the way she was treated that we had no choice but to leave the show very early.
This experience was not only unprofessional—it was appalling. It is completely unacceptable for any staff member to directly confront a child over a baseless accusation, especially one stemming from what appears to be someone else’s attempt to manipulate seating arrangements. The staff failed to properly assess the situation and instead chose to single out and humiliate a young excited girl at her first Opry show. This incident did not just ruin a single evening - it cast a shadow over the end of what was meant to be a special family vacation in which we were departing the following morning. We will...

From the moment I stepped into the Grand Ole Opry (GoO), I knew it was going to be an extraordinary evening, but I didn't realize just how magical it would be. This was my first time visiting the GoO, and it absolutely won't be my last.
The evening was dedicated to celebrating the life and music of the incomparable Keith Whitley, a legend whose tunes have touched so many hearts. The tribute was not only touching but also a spectacular showcase of his enduring legacy. The performances were heartfelt, and I found myself truly moved by the reverence with which the artists on stage honored his memory.
As if the night couldn't get any better, Garth Brooks took to the stage to close the show, and let me tell you, he brought the house down! The energy in the room was electric, and every single person was on their feet, singing along and basking in the glow of his performance. It was one of those unforgettable moments where you feel connected to everyone around you through the power of music.
I cannot recommend the Grand Ole Opry enough to anyone who appreciates truly great music. Whether you're a lifetime fan or just discovering the wealth of talent that graces this stage, the Opry offers an experience unlike any other. The atmosphere is welcoming, the history is palpable, and the performances are consistently top-notch.
To all music lovers considering a visit, do yourself a favor and book those tickets! The Grand Ole Opry is an iconic venue that lives up to its reputation, delivering world-class entertainment and a genuine love for music in every show. Five stars aren't enough to capture the magic...
Read moreEven if you're not into Country music, highly recommend this tour if you're in Nashville. I don't know much about Country music, but came here for the history and background of the Grand Ole Opry. Booked the daytime backstage tour a few days in advance and there was plenty of availability. I looked into the post-show tours, but they were completely booked.
Arrived 30 minutes before my tour time so used that time to walk around the grounds and visit the gift shop. About 15 minutes prior to the tour, you meet at "The Circle Room" door and show your tickets. From there, you see a brief video to give you some history before starting the tour. The tour was very nice as you get to see everything in the backstage from all the different rooms, event areas, family rooms, special photos, the member's mailboxes, unique photos, etc...
Towards the end, everyone gets to walk on the stage and take a photo in the circle if you want. Of course, it's an opportunity for them to sell you the photo as you walk out, similar to theme parks. Normally don't buy those, but this was a unique experience, so why not. We got an added bonus as after our photos, we saw them practicing with the Bush Beans practicing walking up to the microphone. The week after we left, we saw where the dog made it's debut at the Grand Ole Opry.
Overall, this was a fun and informative tour. Even if you don't like or know about country music, I recommend it for the history and...
