With the 5.0 star rating and several hundred reviews, I was a little suspicious but had to see if it was worth the hype bc I love to find a new great pastry spot. And this is it! It’s a bit out of the way and their hours are so limited but I finally made it out and made sure to preorder the day before in case anything sold out before I got there. Plenty of preorders prepped by the time the store opened, I think, and plenty of pastries were available around 9? When we arrived. Very small place & the only downside was that there wasn’t anywhere to really sit down and enjoy indoors, on a cool morning like today. All that being said, we tried just about everything on the menu for today and everything was delicious. The everything tart honestly blew me away. The brioches were so soft, melt in your mouth, as they should be. fun and interesting flavors also. Croissants were great, puff pastry was awesome. Didn’t LOVE the caramel pecan monkey bread though and was really looking forward to it- was quite dense compared to everything else which was light, airy, fluffy. Definitely one of my top Nashville pastry spots. And there...
Read moreWe live less than 5 minutes from Brightside and have driven by so many times. We decided to pop in the other day just to scope it out. We ended up leaving with 4 different items between the two of us. The Stratas (hope I spelled that correctly) were beyond delightful. I almost wish I had ordered 2 (not because they weren’t filling, because I was so sad when I took my final bite that there wasn’t any left). We grabbed a savory and a sweet brioche and ended up eating every last bite (definitely recommend heating them up for a few seconds for optimal taste).
Even if the goods weren’t good (which they were. Oh, they were so very good), the two ladies behind the counters - didn’t grab their names - were beyond helpful. Quirky, funny, helpful, and went above in beyond in even recommending another local shop for a particular good they didn’t sell. We will definitely be Making Brightside Bakeshop a regular in our weekend routine for breakfast. Do yourself a favor and run by for a bite or two of heaven. And get a freaking Strata? Strada? The quiche lookin’...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Brightside Bakeshop in East Nashville and was absolutely taken by their Sunshine Gold Tea and Churro Croissant. The tea was a radiant blend that warmed me from the inside out, with a soothing aroma and a taste that hinted at a secret garden of flavors. As for the Churro Croissant, it was nothing short of a pastry masterpiece. The flaky layers, each with a golden, buttery crispness, gave way to a soft, airy interior. The sugar and spice coating was perfectly balanced, providing that classic churro comfort with each bite. You could really tell that there’s a lot of love kneaded into their recipes. It’s very clear that they crafts their offerings with care and passion, and it absolutely shows in the quality of their treats. Can't wait to return and...
