Captain D's — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

The food was good, however the service was unpleasant enough for me to leave a review for a fast food place. the lady who was taking the order at the speaker was amazing, but the lady at the window taking payment was exceedingly rude, short-tempered, and snarky. I couldn't even get through telling her what sauces I wanted before she interrupted me and said "I'm just gonna throw a bunch in the bag. Pull up"... Okay... that's no big deal I guess. Weird interaction, but no sweat.

Well after she came out and handed me my food, i started going through and make sure everything was right. I'm all doing that i noticed i only got three out of the four catfish in my meal I took my food up to the register and said as politely as you possibly could they shorted me one piece of catfish, and this lady was as rude as could be swearing up and down there were four in there and I pointed out the tiniest shrivel of a piece of fish outside of the 3 normal pieces you've ever seen, and asked, "was this the fourth one???" and she just kept calling me a liar. What the heck? I finally got to the point I told her "If I have to go grab a couple dollars so I can get my food then I don't care just give me my food so I can go" then she finally grabbed my 4th piece and gave it to me. Even the lady at the register was bewildered at what was going on.

The food itself was fine, but the customer service made the whole experience disappointing. I ordered two fish sandwiches, but after paying, my girlfriend mentioned she wanted cheese on one of them. I politely asked the cashier if we could add cheese to one sandwich and pay the difference. Instead of handling it with simple communication to the kitchen, the cashier got visibly annoyed and said, “You want to add cheese after the fact?”

It felt like an unnecessary hassle for something that could have been easily fixed. When I suggested just canceling the whole order since adding cheese seemed to be such a problem, she refused, which made things even more uncomfortable. After that, the energy completely shifted, and I was given attitude and looks when receiving my order.

As a Google Local Guide in the top 10%, I leave honest feedback — the food was good, but the service needs serious improvement. Customer service should never make a simple request feel like an inconvenience. Won’t be returning to...

I went to captain D's on the 1st of Dec between 2-3. I ordered a kiss meal because I don't eat a lot. I got a fish, fries, hush puppies and straw soda. One hour after eating there I got sick. By Friday I was so dehydrated that I had to go to the er and get 3 bags of fluid. By Saturday I was hospitalized for 5 days till they could find the source of my illness, which I knew was the fish I ate. The results came back and confirmed it was a marine bacteria. I suffered gratefully from that experiance. I should have known better bags the restarants was dirty, the cashiers closes where dirty. I should have sent with my gut. I learned never go against your gut. Hopeful no one else will have to suffer like I did. No one should have to go through what I did because of someones negligent!!!!
