Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I’ve always loved Chicken Salad Chick, I usually go to the location in Hendersonville but this one just opened closer to home. I placed a catering order last night for my daughters teacher appreciation week. I came in this morning at 10am (the stores time of open) to pick up my catering order and get some food for myself. I was disappointed with the quality to say the least. I ordered a croissant sandwich with fruit, mac & cheese, and chips. I was informed at the time of my order that there was only one pan of fresh fruit left for the day. I didn’t think anything of it at the time. After I dropping off my catering order I came home to eat the meal I had gotten for myself. The first thing I noticed was that my fruit cup has visibility rotten strawberries in it. Suddenly it made sense why they only had one pan left. They would be better off not serving it to anyone. However, it didn’t stop there. I discarded my fruit disappointed to have purchased something I couldn’t even consume. Only to discover that half of my sandwich was also missing the bottom bun. The mac and cheese was also super chunky. I’ve never had these problems at another location. It makes me wonder about my catering order and I hope the teachers find it to be in...

Requested a package of chicken salad and spicy pimento for a takeout. None stocked in the take-out fridge. After waiting for employees at the counter to put their phones down (one texting, the other watching a show), they informed me that they couldn’t make me anything to take and that they didn’t have pimento cheese or chicken salad. Then they corrected themselves to say that they could make items from the menu but didn’t have chicken salad or pimento cheese to sell…

This was at least 3-4 hours before closing on a weekend. No customers were dining in.

Location initially appeared orderly and clean. Probably from the lack of inventory and/or poor management and employees causing a shortage of customers which did not incur anything to manage or clean. Worst service in dining I have seen in a long time.

Will they be open for “business” and actually stocked on the next business day? I guess...

Honestly I was never really a fan of chicken salad so when my friends told me about this place I was hesitant. I have to say though, this place has turned me around. Not only is their food absolutely delicious but the employees look like they actually enjoy being there. The atmosphere is great it feels like a small restaurant type establishment. Definitely should give it a try. Only one con that is honestly also a pro: the menu is extremely customizable meaning that nothing is set in stone. You will have to be asked roughly 15-20 questions per your order. My recommendation is sassy Scotty in wheat toasted with grape salad.
