China King — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I have eaten at this location for years off and on, going back to the early 2000's. When I came back from Idaho in 2022, everything was good; food, portions, management, etc. I haven't eaten here in 2 or 3 months. I came back on a Monday evening, and ordered takeout. I was very disappointed with the portions (the combination meals seem to be about half what they were, and the container seems significantly smaller). The prices don't seem to have gone down to reflect this difference. The people working behind the counter seem to be totally different as well.........and seem to have an attitude, and are rude. The food was pretty blah......kinda' bland. I'd bet my bottom $ they've changed owners. I always asked for hot oil on the side, and they'd always give me a little - free of charge. Not now...........when I asked for some this time, the clerk pointed at the prices for any extra sauce. I told him I had always gotten a little gratis. He argued with me, implying that that had never been the case. Bad customer experience;...

I ordered the roasted pork and mushrooms for my son through DoorDash and I understand that thy jack up their prices but even on their actual menu it’s still almost $9 for the small portion. When I got it, it was only half full and when I called to say something the gentleman I spoke too was completely unwilling to help in any way. I didn’t want my money back. I just wanted the food I paid for. He told me that he was unwilling to make more food and that if I wanted my money back to call DoorDash and hung up. I also ordered two things of sesame chicken and an egg roll. My bill was $45. The rice was amazing in mine and so was my egg drop soup. I’m not here to bash and say this is a horrible place and don’t eat, but seriously. I work hard for my money and if I order something I expect to get what I pay for. Don’t skimp or be cheap. I recently dined at China King restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the food was only fair in taste, what disappointed me most was the lack of cleanliness throughout the establishment. The bathrooms were very dirty, which is concerning for a place where hygiene should be a top priority. Additionally, the chairs in the dining room were sticky, and even the table had a sticky residue.

Overall, the combination of subpar food and poor cleanliness left much to be desired. I hope the restaurant management takes steps to address these issues to improve the dining experience for...
