This place is awesome. Had just got off and was craving some Nashville hot chicken and this place showed up on GPS. This is a cozy little spot with a great atmosphere, friendly cooks and servers, good prices, and great food. It was packed when I went but only one person was in front of me to order. I got a seat at the bar after standing briefly. About 10 minutes after I ordered, the cook announced over the speakers that there was a 30 minute wait on food but I got mine about 5 minutes later. I told one of the servers that it was a very nice gesture to let people know, especially for those who were there for the first time. I started with a pair of cookies from Mosko's as an appetizer and anyone who's been to Mosko's know they have great cookies so this was a bonus. When my hot chicken arrived, it was hot and savory and wasn't drenched in spices like at some places. I immediately noticed, after attempting to pull off a small bit with my fork, that it wasn't whole chicken but chicken tenders. I told my server that this was also a huge plus as I was expecting to spend half the night picking chicken off of tiny bones. The tenders themselves weren't strips but more like chunks (think pork chops) and came apart easily. After two orders of cookies, drink, fries, and chicken, the bill was well under $20. That was impressive. Also, the gentlemen on my sides had the Frito pie and cheeseburger. Both looked savory. There is usually at least a 20-30 minute wait. This place is a good place to network as well as forge new relationships as I noticed, after overhearing a few conversations, there were many young professionals there (at least on this particular Friday night). Two business owners were exchanging info right in front of me when I first got in line, just to give one example. As of now, I've found my new spot for hot...
Read moreSUMMARY. GREAT place for a burger in East. One of the best dive burgers I've ever eaten. Cozy digs with lively atmosphere make it the perfect place to catch a meal with friends. DEFINITELY COME HERE.
RESERVATION. No reservations, come on down!
AMBIENCE. Divey AF, and I mean this in the best of ways. It's a hole-in-the-wall burger joint on Gallatin. Expect a super lively atmosphere with lots of eating and drinking! The outdoor patio offers picnic table style seating that looks awesome but it was too cold to sit there when I was there, unfortunately.
LOCATION. Located in East on Gallatin. Parking available in front.
QUALITY. The burger itself was AWESOME. SO GOOD! I enjoy so-called gourmet burgers as well, but in my opinion nothing beats an old fashioned dive burger. I had heard this place produced happy customers, and now that I've been I can see why.
SERVICE. Service was good. Order burgers/drinks at the bar and pay on the spot. Expect around a 10-15 minute wait if it's crowded. Burgers delivered to table.
VALUE. Value was incredible. The food is awesome and the bill was super low. I would expect this from this type of establishment, but I felt the value was that much better considering the burger was so good.
TAKEAWAYS. Great food. Lively atmosphere. Awesome prices. What's not to...
Read moreI work in a restaurant right down the street. Come here all the time to grab a bite. Now I don’t always bring my ID because I don’t drink. not one time have I ever been asked for an ID to order food at this establishment. Yet I was not able to order a hot dog and enjoy a Diet Coke after working a shift because one bartender decided she needed to enforce a rule? What underage person clearly just got done working and has a 6 inch full beard and tattoos ? I’m so clearly above 21 yet I was not able to enjoy food with my friends at 11 o clock. When did service industry people stop looking out for each other? My other friend who is 3 years older than me was able to order food and Did not get IDed and I couldn’t even get it to go. Are you not allowed to use discretion and have some compassion? Like I’ve been working in the industry for 11 years and would never have thought that anyone would not be allowed to order a hot dog without an ID. I’ll delete this review if I can get some type of reasonable explanation as to why 1 of the 30 times I’ve been there that I got IDed for ordering a hot dog. I was told it’s illegal. It isn’t illegal AT ALL. As a matter of fact, you can serve liquor at the age of 18 in TN. It’s illegal to serve someone alcohol and I ordered...
